Jimmy Griffin on harmony was outstanding and totally under appreciated. A true talent.
It's shame he and David broke up. Bread could have gone on many more years.
These guys have such a catalogue of genius songs. 60,s & 70,s was such a great era for music. Never to be repeated.

Not true... many "Live" clips are on CZcams of Bread, and Gates solo... David's singing is always wonderful, often sounding exactly like the studio recording.
@@alanfisher2121 Oh yes, I've seen him in clips from the Glen Campbell show and numerous other televised concerts singing live and he's great. He and James Griffin are amazing singers!

The version of this song io the original album is a little less produced. There is no orchestra. I think it's better. Sounds rawer. Either way, it is a great song.
The two versions are actually in two different keys, too!
