Amazing video. Way more interesting than here in Germany, where you can't get anywhere close to the high speed trains because it is mostly fenced off
In India my bro, democracy and getting land for that “fencing” is a Herculean task. Hence it is mostly unfenced. Also it would be a huge cost to fence off all the tracks. However some sections are indeed fenced in different parts of the country. In this video you do not see it. For example in North Bengal some parts are fenced off because there are people living on either side of tracks. India is not China my dear, where there was a revolution and people are more disciplined. In India, people who want to die, just come and die in tracks 😢. Life is valueless, except if you earn a lot to survive a nice life.

Should have showhow long before the train arrived thathe gates (barriers) closed the crossing. In the USA, I believe, grade crossings are not allowed whehigh speed trains.

@@robertgift in urban areas I've seen they're automated and it closes just a few mins before the trains arrival.
I live far away from city , here traffic is very less and a human operates the gate , they close it 5-10 mins before the train and in rare situations like when the train might be late , I've waited for more than 15 mins.

In Europe a woman crossinguard *awoke* to a train hitting a school bus.
Also a crossinguard could have a stroke or heart attack and fail to close the gates.
(It human-operated, does the train operator see a signal indicating thathe gates (barriers) are closed and can slow the train if no signal?)
@@robertgift yeah they'll signal the train and there is an automatic siren in case the gates didn't close.
