The idea of the ending of High tension is great, it's just that it fucks up the movie because so much scenes stop making sense. It could have been done so much better. Remember seing it in theatre and tought it was awesome but the more you watch it the less sense it makes.

The turning is fine until the third act. Plenty of suspense and mystery, very closely adapted to the turning of the screw, just a horrible, dog shit ending.
