Can't wait to get mine and set up my Devy. Definitely going to remove the legs from Longhaul

That is exactly what I thought. A 1000 dollars is a little steep to throw down on toyworlds, but 200 for the JB with the upgrade kit? He'll yeah!😊
Nice to see LikeToys having come this far from selling made-to-order 3D printed versions of this and other kits; hopefully this partnership with Jinbao can get some of the other kits made in injection molded plastic.
Kind of wish that just a set with just the parts that make the feet more stable was available since I prefer the original aesthetics of Generation Toy Gravity Builder.
I got the LIKE Toys kit last year... took me literally HALF A DAY to figure it out (starting around the 9:00 mark)

Its pretty stunning and you can NOT beat it for the price.
wow this is amazing! i have the green devy and honestly hated the thing because of how unstable it is. Now knowing this kit exists and how much it changes the combiner, im definitely very interested in picking this up
I have had that Jinbao in green for a few years, I always criticized the stability even with the first improvement kit that came out but now it gains new value for that figure it will be spectacular
I have the green variant and V1 upgrade kit with the drills. After I saw this kit, I was like... Awe hell yeah! *Click* bought it off Aliexpress and patiently waiting! This kit makes Jinbao Devvy so much better to the G1 look.

If u think about, the backpack on the back is actually kinda accurate because long hauls leg turns into a back of the tractor and in g1 cartoon, devastator has a backpack of long hauls tractor back
Since I wanted JinBao to do the same for their OSKO Warbotron, I got 3 sets of this kit for the time being. May even use it on the TFM Mensor as all three look stylistically uniform.
Thank you for this....I got the 2.0 a bit ago, but to my dismay, didn't find a thing about it on CZcams at the time. Those instructions included were rubbish. Your video was very easy to follow. Again, props for getting an instruction video on this upgrade so quickly.

Thank you!… The instructions only give so much information being that it’s in Japanese language. I have both upgrade kits but waiting for the the company to make kits for the damaged and Black knight version Devestator’s. He’s my all time favorite since i was a kid

Nice video, mine is green and just installed the upgrade kit v2, and it looks really really great, i would like to share to you , the action stand i made for jinbao devi, its a universal adjustable phone holder with metal base, just cut out the ball joint cap, and attach ( glue and screw) it to the butt of the kit, and then connect the ball to the cap, now the devi is now much stable even by posing it, the stand looks clean and neat. Wish I could send you some photos.

I have all colors with upgrades except the transparent Devestator. Green, Yellow, Damaged version and Black knight. He’s always been my favorite as a kid. Lol
Got mine from Showz today. Package arrived very well-protected and undamaged. I'm gonna set aside a few hours or so to do this nice and slow since I'm no expert at this sort of thing but it looks well worth it. Love the new head but I'll stick to the original chest piece if possible. I had even bought a large hard purple plastic Decepticon insignia mold I had glued to it.

Didn't know this set was at ShowZ til now so I got the green one. The yellow one sold out but I was able to find it on eBay for a little more.
I bought a second set of the fugures for bot mode and canabalized one of the Long Haul's....removed the legs and forearms. and glued the lower torso and the pants together to make them one piece.
This upgrade kit arrived this morning and I just finished installing it, and I'm a bit disappointed that it didn't make him any more sturdy. Taller? Heck yeah! Screen accurate? Yeah. But he still tips over if not positioned just right.

Eu havia montado o meu upgrade kit 2.0 e penmsara que estava fazendo algo de errado com as costas, uma vez que o manual não exemplifica bem, de fato, como fazê-lo. Segui pela lógica e no que via nas imagens, chegando no mesmo resultado da posição que você colocou. Não estava errado.
Realmente a parte de trás é meio desajeitada, mas ainda prefiro assim. Não tenho coragem de remover a parte de baixo do robô que compõe o dorso, apesar de que pelas sua apresentação, fica mais limpo. Quem sabe eu não o faça no próximo final de semana.

Eu também considero o Menasor da DX9 melhor dentre os feitos. Mais pelo conjunto, pois considero que os Stunticons da DX9 são mais semelhantes ao do G1 e funcionam bem na questão custo/benefício/similaridade com o G1.
Toyworld is still a little better overall, but as a cheaper alternative for a masterpiece Devastator, it's amazing

Got the set just for the bottom feet filler. Definitely fixed his gravity by falling in too easily. Now he can hold an A pose and not just a standing pose.
Just installed the foot filler, head, the parts on the sides that make the torso into a more V shape and arm extensions. I don't necessarily feel the waist/thighs section. Seems too cartoony for me. Still debating on putting the extra parts that support the shoulders.
Damn, that's an awesome set, just for the feet alone as it stabilises him so much better than what he was before.
Question, can you place the old chest crest on the new kit? I really liked how the old one looked.
I bought the set just now just for the feet alone! Might have to test whether the old upgrade kit can now pose with his legs in an A pose rather than just standing and falling off from his damn weight lol.
You can, but the new chest is also pegging into the shoulder extension pieces which is also what helps secure them into place.

How are you my friend? Look, I watched your video and other videos regarding this new update of the Jinbao Devastator. Well, there is the possibility of removing the legs of the Long Haul as shown in your video and it is expensive to fold the legs back. However, I found a solution to keep the legs more compact and close to the Ravager's body. When you've removed the three screws, take the cover off but keep the legs with that three-screw cover removed and bend as much as possible to rest the legs against the Ravager's back. The wheels will go up a little more and lock the legs much better. I would like to show how it turned out on mine but I don't know how to do it to show you. Also remove the two green parts of the swimming trunks to make it look better. I don't know if I managed to make him understand. Thank you very much in advance and I hope I helped.
Wow..after that upgrade this has to be the best version of MP devastator to date..
Individual bots itself is really gd.
And price is reasonable.
Istruction 10, long houl, if you want the Angle of 90, the hand, the hand (damn photo that blind that), the hand must be turned with thumb upward then you must open the other fingers to its limits. You'll see that thumb softly touch the piece of long houl and the other fingers aren't no longer in the way. Ciao from Italy!!!

Just nitpicking: I would have prefered the feet supports to be clear plastic (at least scrapper's). But that's okay enough, I guess.

All those nice pieces and nothing to help with the backpack? They could of added a rifle storage area and some extra on board weapons (like a missile launcher pod) or another weapon storage area, like a large demolition explosive (that's magnetic with a blinking light and remote) great kit though, glad I picked it up.
Now Jinbao Predaking needs the same attention, help it be more stable when free standing and help the mounted gun stay connected.
Also Iron Factory Bruticus needs an upgrade kit, replace the rotor blades of Vortex making them swords, as well, like the Jinbao ones, light up cannons, extra weapons, like tank machine gun and a few other useful pieces, though I did give them extra weapons myself, like missile pods from a live action transformer figure, a sniper rifle from the Siege Ironhide upgrade kit, along with a shotgun and knife (from an action man/GI Joe set)

Thanks for the video. Best video out there for this upgrade kit install. Extra thanks for detailing how to remove the backpack. I’m not flipping back and forth, combined mode for me so removing the back pack was an easy decision. Three screws on a cover plate makes reinstalling easy should I ever sell it. Thanks again!

I like the upgrade kit except for the Long Haul Transformation, and I don't like the idea of having to disassemble a figure to make an upgrade kit work. If I do get this I will probably try to find an extra Long Haul somewhere and remove His Legs so I could have a Complete Figure for Display and another for the Combined Mode.

I'm really interested in getting one of these. I kinda want the dirty battle damaged one. Not sure if there is an upgrade for it or not, if not I could just paint it which I was planning on adding more detail anyway. I was thinking about a backpack cap to hide all that, and adding some micro motor to drill arms instead of that pull string lol, maybe that would give extra weight to it, if not maybe add some of those button weights used in PC mouse's. It would be static posed on the shelf any way so... 🤔

@@aswig9625 You might be right I looked at my Devy with the upgrade kit Jinbao first made and the wheels on the leg extensions might be in the way unless I remove them. Well I ordered the kit anyway and I’ll find out when it arrives

Well I can tell you that it’s worth every penny and the knee extensions on the old upgrade kit only fit with the wheels removed and put on backwards which doesn’t work very well at all since you lose knee articulation by having the legs on in reverse. So I only use the drills from the old upgrade kit after all.
Van you unscrew the new legs and remove the purple knee joints? I've swapped the purple parts from the g2 to the g1 on my two

One of the silver taillights on Hook came off and is stuck to the old purple chest piece. Hope you didn't throw that out without noticing.

Been 3 years since I purchased something TF related... damnit I had to get this. And just this, can't sustain more expensive hobbies.
Update: I got the kit yesterday and just installed it. The backpack is a crime and a half to try and get right, if it is even right the way I got it. Proportion wise this is THE upgrade to get, bigger head means a lot less dorky looking, and finally the legs look right as well, even the previous upgrade kit didn't solve that completely. Also, his visor tends to pop off if you look at it.
Now, stability wise, I don't see a difference, it might even feel a bit more prone to toppling over. I suspect this is because the backpack increased in size, it shifted further up and further back. Might take a screwdriver to him and just remove it. Not like I am doing to display him as anything but Devastator. You also loose the wrist hinge, so posing is more limited. I also might try to put some rubber padding under his feet, so he is less prone to sliding on the smooth surface he is standing on.
All in all, I 100% recommend this upgrade if you have this Devastator, it is some fiddling to get it installed, and that is 100% because of the waist section. For the rest, it was a breeze and didn't even need this video for anything but the waist.
Edit: to clarify, I have the G1 version (the green one), the yellow might be a bit more stable as it is a slightly later version to have come out.

I do not like partsforming. If that means my masterpiece combiners are still massive, but a few inches smaller than faux combiners, I am okay with it. I know jinbao has some partsforming, but it was the least partsformed masterpiece devastator there was, so I bought it.

Having an extremely tough time getting the knee connectors in on mine, suggestions?
I got in Mixmaster with not that much difficulty but Scrapper will not connect in fully flush no matter what. I removed both, then tried him on the other side same issue but now cannot get back in Mixmaster on his dedicated side. Watched many videos and all seem to be easier than mine.
After seeing the upgrade kit which I did not want, would the upgrade kit help with this problem perhaps?

If you are okay with a 3D printed kit; LikeToys (same company) has made one for GT Defensor. It completely replaces Hot Spot, but is almost perfectly G1 accurate and scales with this Devastator, the Zeta combiners, and ToyWorld Constructor (Devastator).
Does this kit work with the original generation toy devastator?

Would this fit the KO Jinbao off Aliexpress? I forget the name but it is really thin plastic and not expensive but looks very close, I'm not sure about dimensions. If anyone knows I'd appreciate it thanks?
Trust me it is NOT close. The nbk version is twice as small as the standard jinbao and it breaks in 5 seconds.

@@abelabner you will see a difference. The nbk feels like wet clay in comparison to the devastator. For an extra $50 you get a masterpiece scale devastator. Big win in my book.

I purchased my son the absolute worst KO Devestator for Christmas. The worst. Plastic cracked and crumbled immediatly upon transformation and all connections crucial to combining snapped off. I purchased this from Amazon.
Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find a reasonably priced KO Devestator?
Look for the Daban version , it’s smaller than these Jinbao version but very cheaper and made a lot better than the horrible NBK knock off

Ah thank god there's pad for the feet. My Scrapper have a loose connection for his "scoop". So Devastator can't stand at all with his feet always collapse
