I imagine that these two are ex husbands to a woman who killed each of them respectively, and they're singing this to her as she slowly dies and goes to hell.
"ashes to ashes, we all fall down, we've got innocence for days!" and "You haven't got a prayer." would be Gerard singing about her killing Brendon and himself, and therefore being sent to Hell.
"I think of you from time to time, more than I thought I would. You were just too "kind", and I was too young to know. That's all that really matters, I was a fool." is Brendon singing about her trickery. "Tell me I'm an angel, take this to my grave!" would be Gerard singing the same.
There's more that I may add later, but this is all I have for now. Dang, now I want to make this a fic, but I can't write at all.
