Who shot Neil Armstrong on the moon? Armstrong's descent was captured not by a “cameraman” but by a camera placed in the Modularized Equipment Stowage Assembly (MESA), a compartment near the ladder, and deployed by Armstrong as he was standing on the Lunar Module's porch. The original camera that was used was left on the moon.15
We landed people on the Moon not just once but 6 times, not including the failed attempt of Apollo 13. We haven't gone back since then because it was incredibly expensive and big projects like that need their funding to be justified. "Because we need to beat the Russians" was no longer a valid reason, and taking the next step to build bases and support life on the Moon is even today incredibly expensive and difficult.
Nasa said we lost our technology that helped us land on the moon and thats why we havent been back. Moreover it is not incredibly expensive to land on the moon compared to the various wars and coups we fund.
Here's the thing with the moon landing, there's hardware up there like reflectors and other items and rover tracks we've made. They can be found with good laser transceivers and telescopes. We didn't only go once, we went multiple times where it became routine and people stopped caring about it when the rest of the problems of the world were on their minds. Funding fell through the floor and we haven't gone back for not only that but also because of the fact there's not just our hardware up there. It was a crazy time to be around.
Yes, before Neil Armstrong walked down the ladder he pulled a lever inside the Apollo 11 Lunar Module to release the video camera and it swung into place. It was an analog TV camera made by Westinghouse, I believe. People also ask about the video footage of the ascent stage of the lunar module taking off. That was taken by a remotely operated camera on the lunar rover during the Apollo 17 mission. Because of the radio signal delay of about 1.3 seconds each way, it was tricky to time the pan upwards. In fact the two previous attempts (Apollo 15 and 16) failed to keep the ascent stage in frame, but the third time the camera operator on Earth got it right. Moon landing deniers often use silly arguments like in this video to "prove" the moon landings never happened, but they have no clue about the engineering and planning that went into each mission. Another argument deniers use is the famous photograph of Buzz Aldrin (2nd man to step on the lunar surface) coming down the ladder with the entire Lunar Module in view. They falsely claim it is a picture of Neil Armstrong coming down the ladder and say "who was the cameraman" just to spread misinformation.

We haven't been back because there's no need to. There's nothing up there but moon rocks, which we still have a stockpile of, and it's extremely expensive. We went 6 times within 4 years.
Neil Armstrong was first on Moon, Buzz Aldren second, Michael Collins stayed in orbit. They went back five more times, plus there have been multiple landings without a crew by more than one country. And ancient humans living in the Nile Valley built the pyramids.
@@thebargainshack6901 Of course we could replicate the Great Pyramid today - there is just no reason to. There is a clear record of the people of the Nile Valley advancing in technological and building capabilities, techniques, and materials from Paleolithic times leading right up to the first mastabas and then the first pyramid around 2600 BC. The "footage" we saw was as at time they can't convert it, I think the video was sent to Australia in a frame rate and format that didn't work to convert well so they used a tv camera pointed at a screen to broadcast it, if they know of raw footage they might be able to convert now
The United States' Apollo 11 was the first crewed mission to land on the Moon, on 20 July 1969. There were six crewed U.S. landings between 1969 and 1972, and numerous uncrewed landings

The Westinghouse camera was stored for flight in the lunar module's Modular Equipment Stowage Assembly (MESA), a compartment near the ladder that Armstrong climbed down to reach the Moon's surface. To activate the camera, he pulled on a handle that in turn released the door to the MESA.
