    Art History should cover all the areas that Ms. Arnold describes. She seems to want to make the study of Art History unnecessarily complicated.

    Boring, and art is only about beauty if you're trying to sell, or, if you are trying to express something you find beautiful.
    I forget who described it this way, but art is an indirect form of communication.
