当地时间11月16日上午，国家主席习近平在美国旧金山会见秘鲁总统博鲁阿尔特。
习近平说，很高兴结识总统女士。秘鲁是南美地区重要国家，也是最早同新中国建交的拉美国家之一。建交半个多世纪以来，中秘在涉及彼此核心利益和重大关切问题上相互理解和支持，双边合作稳步向前发展。今年是中秘建立全面战略伙伴关系10周年。回顾10年，我们收获了丰硕的合作成果。中国是秘鲁最大贸易伙伴，秘鲁成为中国在拉美第二大投资目的地，两国共建“一带一路”合作蹄疾步稳。中秘合作促进了各自国家发展振兴，给两国人民带来实实在在的福祉。
新形势下，发展好中秘关系不仅符合两国共同利益和双方人民共同愿望，对维护亚太经济健康稳定发展、建设开放型世界经济也具有重要意义。中方支持秘鲁举办2024年亚太经合组织领导人非正式会议，愿同秘方加强沟通和协调，推动亚太经合组织合作取得新成果，为亚太地区经济复苏和长远发展、推动构建亚太命运共同体作出新贡献。
