There's many more resources you can use, these are just the few that I use pretty regularly and I think they're a great starting point for beginners. Happy Birding!

So helpful! I’ve been doing soul searching due to “current events” and me and my grandpa used to try to identify birds by their look and song. Call it nostalgia but I’ve decided I want to make a CZcams channel for birds! Birding is the term huh? AWESOME content and help man. Keep it up 🤗

Outstanding video! Now, maybe I can start to learn about species in my area. I registered for ebird and Merlin and found so many birds I never knew came through my area. Will have to try some of the parks at Canyon Lake. Thanks so much.

Thank you so much! I was very surprised when I first downloaded the apps too. If there's any species in the app you really want to see, you can go on the eBird website and search for areas where that species is found nearby. Very helpful!

I began birding in 1991. So I have decades worth of trip lists, yard list, life list etc. all in paper format, of course, that I would love to digitalize into eBird. Its an overwhelming project. I was hoping you might find it worth your while to do a video on how to most easily and efficiently input old historical data into eBird. Loved your pond creation videos. BTW. I discovered your channel through Badgerland Birding. Thanks

Sound is the one thing I have to hunt without. I'm Deaf in real life, rubella baby from the early 60's epidemic. So for me binoculars, observation, and a lifetime of fieldcraft and my love for the outdoors is what keeps me going. - IG: DarkWaterPhotoMedia - :)
This COVID-19 thing is aggravating; it's spring - I want to hit the trails but everything is shut down to prevent people congregating. I did manage to capture some robins and starlings through my dirty apartment windows (maybe today's rain will clean them?). The day before I just missed capturing a pair of Ravens just outside my windows, my camera was in the bag - the battery not in the camera either, ARGH! I've been trying to get these particular ravens for 2 years now.

Yeah it has been tough, especially during migration. It's probably the time of the year that people are usually out most for bird photography. At least we still have some backyard birds to get us by!

Hi Stefano, curious as you are in Montreal area, have you found any good resource to get English- French (Canadian) names of birds? I currently find myself in Ottawa, and encounter many francophones, but i find most times i only know the English name of the birds.
