- Belem is one of our favourite neighbourhoods in Lisbon! There's so many delicious places to eat & interesting places to check out! From the picturesque waterfront promenade with the towering Monument to the Discoveries, and the historic Belem Tower, as well as the Belem Palace changing of the guard and the Jerónimos Monastery, where Pastéis de Nata were first invented. Thanks so much for your kind words! Belem really is a beautiful neighbourhood! The Pastéis de Belém are amazing, and the waterfront is quite nice too. The restaurants we tried there were also some of our favourites in Lisbon!
Loved your video, especially seeing those ancient buildings and the amazing architecture, however the restaurants and cuisine always rank the highest. haha Must be hard to beat the prices and also some of the dishes you must have come to enjoy eating, now that you are back in Canada.
We are always amazed by the wonderful architecture when we travel! The food in Portugal was so good and the prices were way more reasonable than here in Vancouver. You could even buy a bottle of wine in Lisbon for 3 or 4 bucks! We sure do miss those prices :)
