Top 5 Overlanding Rig and Trailer Options for Families | Overland Expo Pacific Northwest

- If your new to overlanding or even if you're an experienced veteran, finding the right rig for your family's camping and overlanding trips can be a challenge. With so many options available, it's hard to narrow down the infinite choices. On our latest trip to Overland Expo Pacific Northwest, we went looking at the rigs and trailers at the event with families in mind. Even though we own an incredible tent camper, the @patriotcampers X1-H, we're always looking to see what options and designs are available that would accomodate families.

But, I think your outfit looks most appealing.
It would be difficult for a company to create a lightweight offroad camper that rivals the @PatriotCampers lineup.

A lightweight trailer is what you need so you can disconnect and go rock crawling etc. But some trucks are quite capable with a light unit on the back. Some of those can be removed too. Depending on wants and needs
The Patriot Campers X1-H checks a lot of boxes for us… and of course we’re biased as owners. Grizzly territory and cold and wet weather are the fee scenarios where a hard sided option would be nice. Always keeping our eyes open.
@@SixOverland Yeah, what we call a caravan has been a popular choice in AU to evade the wind and weather (heat) plus our Grizzly Bears are called Flies. And mozzies (mosquitoes) sometimes.
