    The example of Hydrogen and Fluorine was present in your dipole-dipole video also. So I am confused that does Hydrogen fluoride make hydrogen bonding or dipole dipole interaction? Please clarify.

    • @AreeshaMudassir
      @AreeshaMudassir Před 10 měsíci +7

      hydrogen bonding is one type of dipole-dipole interaction. Dipole-dipole interaction is the attractive force between the opposite ends of two polar molecules. At the same time, hydrogen bonding is the attractive force between partially positive hydrogen atoms and partially negative atoms of F,O, or N of different polar molecules. Hydrogen bond is dealt with separately as the difference in electronegativities is a lot which makes it much stronger than dipole-dipole interactions. I hope this cleared your confusion

    I have a question according to my question basically as I want to know that you also have given the example of hydrogen fluoride in a dipole dipole interaction so in the case of hydrogen bonding you also have given the example of hydrogen fluoride but can you please explain me that in dipole dipole interaction the hydrogen fluoride the it is basically the interaction between two oppositely charged molecule passing negative and positive due to which we can say it a dipole dipole interaction to because of a dipole forces because of negative and positive pole so in the case of this we can say that it is basically in the that basically in the hydrogen fluoride in dipole dipole interaction it is basically the interaction between hydrogen and fluoride these both interaction between them in hydrogen and fluoride it is basically the dipole dipole interaction but in the case of hydrogen it is basically interaction between one molecule to another is it possible to say that because confusion that hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen bond with respect to hydrogen bond and with respect todipole dipole interaction what is the main difference between them to give this example

      @raone8401 Před 4 měsíci

      Me too confused

    • @epicclasher0
      @epicclasher0 Před měsícem

      No dipole dipole interactions also exist between at least two molecules ( dipoles ) . You can consider that Hydrogen bonding is the same as Dipole dipole interactions but way more stronger . So if you ask what exists in HF ? Dipole Dipole or Hydrogen bonding . The answer is both but Hydrogen bonding to be precise as it clarifies that it is a highly polarised molecule due to electronegativity difference.. I hope this answers your question :)
