@Tyler Vincent Pudzianowski has 5 WSM (record plus record for largest margin of victory in WSM in 03 and that was against big z)
6 European strongman (record for european and 3-0 against big z and 6-0 overall in European strongman),
16 strongman super series (record for super series wins and 16-1 against big z)
3 strongman team (record for strongman team),
7 polish strongman (record for polish strongman)
I would say that is the best overall accomplishments as the Arnold is the only record wins z has. And Arnold is mainly static which is only 1 feat of strength.
Z was doing strongman competitions for about 20 years, Pudzianowski for only 9. That's what makes this even more amazing. As big Z started the competitions in 96-2018 with a year retired at one point in between. Pudzianowski started in 2000 but then missed all of 01 and chunk of 02 competitions because he was in prison for assaulting a mob boss. So 2000, 2002-2009.

@Carl Gambino 3 of mariuszs 5 titles were during the IFSA split (so all the top athletes of the time besides him were in IFSA) so 3 of those titles were much easier for him to achieve. Bill did dominate and win 3 and yes he was banned but potential can only be praised so much compaired to what actually did and didn't happen. Yes maybe bill could have won 6 titles but thats just speculative and cant be credited as part of his achievements. Strongman is alot more that just WSM. Big z is the greatest of all time for the following reasons: 4 WSM titles during the most dominant era ever (He competed against the top guys of his time for all 4 years unlike mariusz who had 3 easy titles, 2 IFSA titles (where he competed against all the best in the world besides mariusz), 8 arnold strongman classics titles (6 of which were consecutive). Hes broken hundreds of world records. The IFSAs pretty much count as WSM titles since they were international titles involving the best in the world at the time and Z won 2 of those too.

    • @JonSmith-cx7gr
      @JonSmith-cx7gr Před 3 lety

"controversial win"? Who disputes it? I thought the only person who disputed Eddie beating Thor was Thor and that doesnt make it controversial.
Unless by 'controversial' you mean the controversy of Thor being EXPLICITLY TOLD not to use cheat reps before the event, then using several cheat reps which the (Icelandic)* referee let him get away with, being finally denied one cheat rep, him and his 20 man entourage (who he demanded be allowed despite nobody else ever having huge groups surround them) being very happy with the result and then having Eddie comfortably do more reps and with perfect form and then acting like a little bitch by complaining, swearing on his daughters life etc to try and get the decision overruled.
      Yes that was controversial.
Thor is an amazing strongman and has more wins but he was already notorious among athletes and organizers for using his tv 'stardom' to try and get what he wants at events and made himself look like a total c*nt with his actions at WSM 2017.

@@Nirsterkur I made a mistake on Capes but now it is corrected. Thx.
I decided to use this point system because I feel like 2 second places does not equal 1 victory, but if someone is consistent enough to be second 4 times I believe this athlete is better than one time winner that could get lucky on the events/injuries of other athletes and never podium again. I figured that 3 third places should equal 1 second place, and 3 second places should equal one title. For me this makes a lot of sense.

@@Nirsterkur Yes, my intention here was to give a list that made some fucking sense for the people reading the comments because the video is totally random. Like you said, this is not the list of the strongest ever, just what I consider a fair way to judge success at WSM only. Strongest ever title is actually full of shit, you can fit anyone on this title because it is very subjective to your beliefs. You think it's Brian because ASC was not fair? Ok. You think Eddie "100% could" break every static record in strongman or powerlifting? Fine. Big Z is the strongest because he won the most? Sure. Discussions on this are childish and a waste of time because there is no right answer.

You do realize that Pudzianowski is 3-1 against big z in WSM, beat him so badly in 03 that it was the record for largest margin of victory?
Pudzianowski is also 3-0 against big z in European strongman. Also has 6 wins total which is the record.
Pudzianowski is also 16-1 against big z in strongman super series. That 16 wins is the record amount of wins.
He not only beat Big z constantly, but he straight up dominated big z like z was a little school girl.
Z did finally beat Pudzianowski in 09, but pudz had a torn arm and only a couple of weeks of training. Still got second though.

All were great champions. Very hard to say definitively since kaz was robbed of competing in his prime after winning 3 in a row. Who knows he wins 2 or 3 more and john paul and capes end up with less wins and it changes the order. As it stands now though imo for everything accomplished and getting their wins and podium finishes cleanly i would have to go with Big Z and Brian Shaw is right on his tail. They competed against better competition, had more longevity, most top 3 finishes and to my knowledge no controversy or a victory completely fumbled to them like how Marius won against poundstone.

It's not really close. No matter how you slice it your top 5 will be Big Z , Shaw, Pudzianowski, Jon Pall and Ver Mag. Kaz gets an exception into the top 5 because they wouldnt let him compete for years. Interesting that Tom Stoltman is already #17 and ahead of Hall who only has 4 points compared to Z s 24. If you combine Arnold's and WSM Z has 54 points, Shaw has 40 . Without ever having the advantage of competing in the Arnold's Jon Pall has 16 . Ver mag has 16. Pudzianowski , despite never making the podium at Arnold's has 19.

Is that why Mariusz Pudzianowski is 3-1 against big z in WSM and beat Big z so badly in 03 that Pudzianowski broke the record for largest margin of victory?
Is that always why Pudzianowski is 3-0 against big z in European strongman?
And Pudzianowski is 16-1 against big z in strongman super series?
Big z barely beat Pudzianowski once when Pudzianowski had a torn arm and only a couple of weeks of training in 09 lol
You ever wondered why the split happened and big z ran away to go to that? Because Pudzianowski was to dominate. You ever wonder why Big z didn't comeback to WSM until Pudzianowski announced his retirement and going to mma? You ever wonder why Big z ran away from European and didn't come back until Pudzianowski was gone? None of this is a coincidence.
Big z doesn't get to be called the best when he got dominated for years in WSM, European, super series etc, then ran away and cameback to WSM, and European to finally win some once the guy who dominated him retires.
