How is the interior noise/road noise when on the highway? I'm really thinking about a Mustang for daily driving to work, but it's a 20mi highway drive. One thing I hate is highway road noise, and a ride that is too tight and rough in the city.
I have a 2016 V6 and the noise level at highway speeds is pretty mild--almost too mild. Sometimes I yearn for it to be a little throatier like the GT. Now if you put your foot into it, THEN it comes to life and roars a bit--much like a V8.

if you are in snow country you need that front-wheel drive Honda more than a Mustang.

I have the 17' base GT. Cloth seats are great! No issues at all. You save a ton of money not getting the premium

I am so glad that I bought this car. I finally got a chance to drive it around town. With the V-6, I'm getting 21mpg in the city and the engine isn't even broken in yet. I was starting to get some buyer's remorse, thinking that I should of got the V-8. No way; the V-6 is plenty enough and I'm loving the good gas mileage.

I rented a V6 convertible last March on a vacation to California. I loved it. The only thing that would keep me off the V6 is the fact that Ford doesn't offer it in a premium trim. Other than that, the V6 is plenty of power for what I'd want. I also agree about the cloth seats. I thought they were great and my admittedly limited experience with leather seating is that, while it's certainly comfortable and good looking, it also takes a lot more maintenance and for me at least, doesn't hold up as well in the long run. Also, for the record, I put two full tanks of fuel through that car over a nine day period. Both tanks were mixed driving. The first got high 24's and the second got high 27's. I have no doubt that car would push 30 mpg on a road trip.
I have the same color 2017 v6 with spolier and better wheel. This car is awesome and appearance is gorgeous either

I get mine in a few weeks. Same color, interior package and engine/transmission. It's the first time I've been able to get a new car and I'm really excited.
I'm definitely getting a v6 I love the lighting blue color. I can buy a new one here for about $20ish,000! Then I'm going to add the roush axil back exhaust and cold air intake. So for an additional $1000 u get better sound maybe a little more HP Anyways totally worth it to me!

@@bruh-qu1ww installed a cold air intake saving for the exhaust and definitely already hear a difference. lower growl and louder.

Bought a metallic guard color in 2015, new. lots of power, for the money, if you can't afford the V8. Got the 18 inch wheel option with power seats, fog lamps. Turns lots for heads.

I have the same car. It's been fun, but doubt I'll get one again. I've had this, a caddy, acura, and BMW. There is NOTHING wrong with this car. I'm just getting too old to get in and out of it. :)

I have an ecoboost and it's pretty dope, I bet if the ECO model pushed 350+ horsepower people would still be talking that trash .
new Ford calibration gives it 335hp/390tq.
Mine is oxford white and it is a 2016 model. Best pony car ever.

The ecoboost will cost you at least a grand more, weighs over 100# more than the V6 and need a turbo and direct injection to match the V6. The ecoboost has had more issues such as overheating, carbon buildup, turbo failures and so on compared to the V6.

I got a V6 2017 Mustang and it is a everyday work car and I will put over 140k on the thing and give it to my son when i get a new one in 5 or so years. I will never go without a Mustang after having this one...what a great car and it does 0-60 in low 6s to mid 6s. What a great car. My next car might be a GT or a ECO. both are great cars
The V6 does 0-60 in low to mid 5's, depending on transmission and gearing...

the 6 cyl eng is very good, but the eco has bad valve problems with buildup and not sealing ask any ford mech or anyone that has worked on them stay away from ecojunk

you can't get the same interior though :( If there was an option where you can have the same interior, I wuld 100% get the V6.

Not a bad base package , I'd only increase the size of the center screen and have lumbar support available on base . Personally I went with the 2016 v6 accord coupe , it's a little more but the v6 has Apple CarPlay leather etc etc .
305hp on when needed...34mpg when not. You decide. Also a tech tip mustangs do adjust timing after fueling and using 93 octane does add around 7 hp bringing it to a 312.
Add a cat-back exhaust and you'll pick up another 10hp making it as fast as the Mustang in the Bullitt movie.
19 inch wheels are not available on the V6 as you mentioned at 3:40. Only 18 inch are available & part of the 051A package AND that is only for the convertible not the coupe. The specs of the one you are reviewing is the only way that a V6 coupe comes. I don't sell them. I owned a '15 V6. The only difference between my 15 and the 17 is that I was able to get the option pkg on the coupe with the wheels & fog lights. And for '18 the V6 is gone completely.
I bought 19" wheels for my Mustang V-6 on Craigslist. They came off a 2017 Mustang GT with a pony package. I purchased the wheels for $75 a piece. I found out that 19" tires aren't discounted as much as 17" or 18."

+BMan100 - only on the Ecoboost and V8 engines. You can run regular in the turbo four and V8 if you want, they'll handle it just fine but for maximum power, as you said, you gotta run premium. The V6, on the other hand, is rated for regular only. Premium gas won't get you anything on the V6 engine.

I know for a fact the computer for the 3.7 keeps advancing the timing till spark knock is detected then backs off a bit. Therefore, the higher the gas grade, the more total timing it can handle. More timing, more power.
Fordfanone - Where I got this shit from was the Mustang's owners manual! The manual lists both the 5.0 V8 and the 2.3 turbo 4-cylinder as requiring premium fuel to achieve the hp and torque specs that Ford publishes for them, "but," they will both perform just fine on regular if you can't find premium or simply don't want to pay the extra money for it, albeit at the cost of a bit of performance. Those engines are tuned to use premium and thus, will benefit from it.
The V6, on the other hand, makes its rated hp and torque numbers based on regular fuel only. The owners manual makes absolutely no recommendation for premium fuel on the 3.7 V6 engine in the current generation Mustangs. The ignitions and fuel timing curves programmed in the ECU, along with engine compression ratio specs and such, are designed and setup for the use of regular fuel, not premium. Now, you can certainly put premium in the V6 if you want to. It's not going to hurt a thing and I promise you, the gas companies will be thanking you all the way to the bank, but it's not going to make a significant difference in performance because the current Mustang V6's are not tuned to use it!

I am a little late but I've been seeing these pop up for sale a lot lately, and cheaper than ecoboosts. (2014/2015 models) was wondering why these may not be as good as the ecoboosts or GT.

You said the V6 is the only mustang that takes regular gas, but I have a 2017 GT and it says in my manual to only use 87 octane.

I just got my GT also and I read the same thing. I'm thinking it will run fine on 87 octane but you won't get the advertised 435 horsepower. You'll have to use 93 to get the horsepower. Enjoy your GT man!

NO manual will EVER tell you to run "only" 87. It may say 87 "recommended" or 87 "required" in which case it means, run at least 87. Being a non-force induction engine, it will eat 87 fine, and you'll do great with it, but if you wanna burn a little better, have less sludge, and get a little extra power, make sure you're buying 93 from a Top Tier classification fuel pump. If you're just driving around town and don't mind the carbon build-up in the long term life of the engine, you're fine running 87 day in and day out, still recommend purchasing from a Top Tier station however.
What I read in the owners manual, 87 octane is the minimum required for all the engines offered in the 2015+ Mustangs. If you want maximum performance out of the Ecoboost or V8, then you've got to run premium but it made no such statement about the V6.

I honestly don't like the design of the newer models, I have a 2006 Mustang and I honestly love the hood and front better because it's not smoothed over like the 2017 it's more attitude so to say and more mussel than sport.

2019 Mustang Ecoboost it’s more expensive and faster than the V6 in terms of hp and torque 350 to be exact. I’m a 4 banger guy that is why I purchased one great decision on my part.

And ford went on to remove the v6 from the lineup, so I'm now like what happens to people who need parts given they aren't even making the engines anymore.
I hate how high the rear seats are because tall people cant sit back there.. And the hood is so damm long theres more than a foot of bumper and dead space. They should really shift everything forward and move the rear axle back so the rear seats are lower.

basicbodybuilding just go with the stang, bigger engine no overheating complex turbo which don't last over 80k miles, and you can actually see out of it so it's safer. Test ride them and you will agree with me.

I figured out the plug from watching another review. It's a 12-volt accessory port plug. I never saw one like that before.

I have the 2015 V6. And yes the remote start will turn on the ac, but not at full blast. Also depends on your settings. There are 2 options to set it at current temp. Settings or the other I can't remember.

@@thebluedanube8463 Get a set of Z-cables for about $130 and keep them in the trunk. With that posi readend and those cables, you should be able to handle a blizzard.
The 2017 Camaro LT have more tremendous features , more power and more comfort , and as same price as 2017 Mustang V6....just watch a review of Camaro 2017 lt review....unbelievable features of the Camaro , I used to be a string Mustang fan....but when I see the v6 have no touchscreen displays/tv and very small ! or lack of features compare to Camaro.....that really sadden me ! But I love the design of the Mustang ahhhh !

Exactly. They are beautiful and I love it haha. Those black Ecoboost/GT rims are also pretty sweet but these are more muscle looking. But the normal Ecoboost/GT rims are kinda meh.
