    You inspired me to pursue my goal of being a garden greenhouse nursery. I’m still learning as well as working a healthcare profession. My goal is owning a nursery will be my 2nd career when I retire from healthcare.

      It is my 2nd career as well. I was in my 40s when I switched careers. 😃

      @@gardeningTLC I live in Hawaii on the west side of the big island. I noticed the pitiful baskets they sell at Home Depot and Lowe’s and nowhere else to get those gorgeous hanging baskets I’m used to at my local nursery where I from in Arkansas. So I’m growing my own plants for my baskets. I’ve been growing from seed for about 15 years. I’m wanting to master the art of making English style or Dutch hanging baskets. Sell them on the weekends and grow them in my backyard. I’ll have my husband build me a rack to hang them with rollers to I can move easily.

      By the way it’s like a 8” basket and they use the plugs that have three plants in one small plug. Most have aphids as well. I’m not sure why it would be so terrible. I mean we can grow nearly anything except tulips unless you go up the mountain to the cooler elevations. My dream elevation to grow would be 1,600 to 1,800 ft. On the mountain. The temps allow for cool flowers and tropicals.

    Hi! I'm Bonny and I'm a home gardener in zone 5b Ontario, Canada. I enjoy seeing gardeners that are in the same zone as me. I love perennials and roses. I have been gardening on my property for over 30 years. I've been having some rabbit pressure in the garden. Is there any annuals that are more rabbit resistant.

      I know begonias, zinnias, geraniums, and snaodragons are the ones I have good luck with.

    I’m a 75 year old gardener that is unable to really garden anymore due to old
    Knees. It is so good to finally find someone that is near to me zone wise. Any new plants that I need to make sure are in my garden? Does your nursery do mail orders? Don’t leave me lady..... I need you to keep me mentally alert. I use MG just as you do....and have found tricks using it just as you did. But now my hubby does the gardening 🤣😂😭

    • @gardeningTLC

      That is wonderful. I hope I can garden my whole life. We don't mail order plants at this time, but who knows what the future holds. I will do my very best to keep you mentally challenged!! 🫠

    Where is your garden center located? I’m in Illinois also so I love your channel as I relate to plants I can actually grow in my zone! Thanks.

    I live in North Florida 9a and find lots to learn from your videos! I just have to have a different calendar than yours. We can't do petunias and pansies until fall planting, around September. I can learn on the mistakes from Northern gardeners!

    Michelle, what ground cover can I use for shade?

    • @gardeningTLC
      @gardeningTLC  Před rokem

      I personally like lamium and ajuga. Please be careful and do your homeowrk before planting ground cover, as every region is different and some can be more invasive than others, and some might be considered a noxious weed in your area.
