- Here is a some rare footage of Ansambel Lojzeta Slaka in Fantje s Praprotna at a veselica in Črni Vrh, Slovenia. I've previously uploaded small parts of it but today I wanted to share everything that I have. I hope this is of some significance to fans of Lojze Slak.

Thank you! Brings back alot of great memories. I saw Lojze Slak perform 2 times in my life. First time was in 1985 in Cleveland, Ohio at the Slovenian National Home and the second time was in 1990 in Cleveland, Ohio at Euclid Highschool.
I'm glad it brought back some memories. Was the highschool event for students or for the wider community?
It was for the polka/slovenian community. Basically if you knew who Lojze Slak was you were their. I remember that auditorium was packed. It was a big deal. RTV slovenija was taping the concert.
You posted a video a while back on your polkasdu09 channel with Ansambel Lojzeta Slaka performing and Franci Rebernik singing Save the Last Dance For me in english. That was the concert in 1990 I was at. I recorded the entire concert on cassette tapes.

Well, i didn't know that Franci also sang songs of American artists so well, im surprised, he had very good allround voice 👍👍👍
I saw Slak's band live in 1981 in village Veliki Gaber near Trebnje, they played on truck like here in that video. 😊 It was a hunter party with tombola and everything, it was so good to see them live, althought i was 7 yrs old by the time but i loved and still i like good old nacional/folk original music ❤
i play Prostor accordion for my pleasure too, inspired by Slak😊
