Actually they did make a fma brotherhood game years ago. It was only on the wii and exclusive to Japan only. The fma wii game followed its own unique plot similar to past fma games.
I think the BotW system and physics could easily be reskinned for a FMA game, and it would be amazing. Quick transmutations could work like the sheikah slate runes, one could be the armblade, one could be the pillars they use to launch themselves, etc. Maybe some more complex transmutations could work like a more sophisticated version of BotW's cooking system. The combat physics are already on point, I'm already seeing a fight against Bradley playing out similar to Thunderblight Ganon the way he rushes you super fast. I wish I made video games.
Nah, many games (especially cartoony) ones have aged well. If something is 3D animated or maybe cell shaded they actually look pretty good over time. Whereas games that try to look realistic mostly look horrible with age
