The energy there is absolutely bonkers, they're absolutely out of their minds after 2 minutes. It's something few musicians are able to experience in their lifetime
My parent love them and i watch many of their videos during childhood. Now i learn to playing guitar and sometimes jamming with their music videos. Try it someday and trust me , you'll love them even more
I know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
Casiopea had such a huge presence in Indonesia back in the early 80s and so many Indonesian fusion bands of that era were heavily influenced by this band!!! This band practically set the direction of fusion for Indonesia 🇮🇩
can you recommend me some Indonesian musicians or bands that heavily influenced by casiopea or other fusion jazz bands? I really want to dig more about it for my music preference. much appreciated for your help :D

I adore this song, but occasionally this live version gives me so many inexplicable feelings, between a nostalgia (for something I didn't experience) and an immense happiness that caresses my heart and makes me want to cry. Look at those faces, the audience enjoying the show, Minoru jumping like crazy, just beautiful and they are amazing. I guess that's what music is about. Masters! I am grateful that they have left their mark on the world.
I feel the exact same as you! It's such an overwhelming inspiration to the human spirit to see these wonderful artists creating a masterpiece before our very eyes, and the very real human reaction to it. The smiles in the crowd and when Sakurai and Noro hit the WHOA @ 4:16. Sheesh. This is a masterclass in music and showmanship.
Honestly someone said in these comments that Casiopea makes magical music and that's the unknown feeling they give off. Honestly, their music is so beautiful it feels my heart with joy I cant describe it
How can you not love these guys? Keyboardist literally jumping at the end 😂. Man, every time I listen I feel sort of inspired to make music but also feel like I lack the means to write music nearly as awesome as this.
I was living in Guam during the mid-80s and Casiopea would play there occasionally. Billed as "Yamaha's Electric Team" they would play the supper clubs and other Japanese tourist venues which were thriving at that time. Wonderfully talented. A night of watching their performance was an awe inspiring event.
I cannot count how many times I listened to Eyes Of The Mind. Heard Casiopea every time they where in Copenhagen - the first time they were here was really intense. But this concert - wish I was there. Makes me want to go to Japan - where I have never been......
I have several Live Video Concerts Of this Great Band Back from when I was Touring Japan and Got to see them at the concert Hall Called the Egg.Back in the "80"s.
Thank you, you found something here with The Eyes of your Mind that have been useful for me in my ongoing analyses of myself 😅! Ola K Stockholm Sweden in Dec 2023!
Can’t believe I’m just discovering this band(thanks to Tik Tok). Holy shit this performance ignited my soul, especially seeing everyone get down with the fusion funk. Thank you sharing this!!!
Hot sounds island lol This performance, and all the people radiate pure joy. What a beautiful thing. You couldn't get 10 people together for something like this where I live.
The keyboardist! his smile and movement is so infectious its hard not too smile at him.
devoiddude the keyboardist is Minoru Mukaiya the legend!!
Listen to "Asia" by minoru, it's an incredible solo
@@TheLemonMasterYT amen brother, it is amazing!
This man and his energy is spectacularly beautiful and nothing stands in the way of that fact
The energy there is absolutely bonkers, they're absolutely out of their minds after 2 minutes. It's something few musicians are able to experience in their lifetime
this video changed my life... seriously... this video was my introduction to casiopea and ive been a happier person because of it... means alot to me

the keyboardist is definitely taking that synthesizer back stage for some sexy time after the show.
His name is minoru mukaiya
and he's taking that synthesizer backstage for some very sexy time after the show.
and her name is dx-7 yamaha.
and she's being taken backstage for some sexy time after the show.
😂
Sega's favourite band in the 80's.
+HarmoDevil waht
What I mean is that many Sega composers in the 80's were influenced by this band. For example, the music of Out Run was imspired by Casiopea.
not just sega, atlus' shoji meguro (composer of the persona series' music) was also inspired by them
Yeah, Casiopea were quite influential (though not as much as Yellow Magic Orchestra) on many Japanese game composers.
Atlus is a Sega company.
You can really feel the unbridled optimism of the boom years of Japan in this music.
I adore this song, but occasionally this live version gives me so many inexplicable feelings, between a nostalgia (for something I didn't experience) and an immense happiness that caresses my heart and makes me want to cry. Im with you, I honestly couldn’t imagine a more perfect performance. Even at the end when you seen their faces, they knew this was magic 😊
I prefer this one over the others idek why. Yes it's amazing seeing Minoru dance he's so good lol ❤ they're all so vibey

Agreed -- I love coming back to this song. It represents the joy of music, especially the way the band plays it with such excitement and energy.
The 80s were the peak of musical glory
I love the way the crowd hail at the off-beats!
This is song is Jeff Lorber meets EW&F!
Meets Bob James, la express, pages and George duke
AKIRA JIMBO... ONE OF THE BEST DRUMMER IN THE HISTORY!!!
This is genuinely one of the best videos on youtube
Thank everything it's still here
Why is this the best thing ever??
This is literally the best thing to have ever happened

This is how fusion should be (i think)... people having fun.

Brian Forehand that’s what all types of music should be about.

I love how everyone claps along. I love how interactive this performance was ❤️
They’re so damn good it’s criminal. Japan is just too amazing at just about everything!
This is awesome! Just perfect!
I wasn't yet alive in 1983 ..
Amazing 30 years later its still hot!
it doesnt matter how many times i see them play i love it everytime
Omg... Never in life there's an instrumental band as phenomenal as Casiopea. This takes me to my junior high era... The age of innocence 😁
Its been 40 years ago, Iam still 16 and now year 2023, looking back again they still young energetic and talented! Good times 👍
One of the best Fusion Jazz bands in the world, if not the best! CASIOPEA rocks!
Issei is moving like Prince....but he is still crushing!
Those string chords at the intro... Damn. Minoru Mukaiya is by far my favorite keyboard player
My favorite rendition of "Eyes of the Mind" that I've heard so far...
Absolutely, wish this was available on streaming services!
The fact that their drummer is named Akira and their bassist is named Tetsuo makes me wonder why their guitarist isn't named Kaneda...
😅😅😅😅 your comment make my day ❤❤❤❤
crazy that this perfomance is 40 years old
Casiopea fans always know when we need to standing and joint to the music
Especially on assayake song
baginda jaya *ass*ayake
Casiopea continue to totally astonish me, blowing me away repeatedly. Genuinely sublime. Perfection, as far as I’m concerned.

that guitar solo is magical
in the beginning it sounds like, "in the stone" by "earth, wind, and fire".
They all match their instrument in some weird infectiously creative way
The crowd looked happy.... I wonder how it felt like during this concert....amazing!
THE‼️CASIOPEA‼️
hah hah, cool song...nobody gets crazy to fusion like that anymore!
Life-saving music right here
This band translates the joy of being alive!

I seriously love this to alpha centauri and back
minoru mukaiya is the happiest keyboardist ever!! 😁❤️
Some juicy solos, reminds me of all that amazing 16-Bit games music.

They are so passionate and masterful at their instrument, this must be exact example how living a dream.
2022..stil listening this. One of my favorites song from Casiopea. I knew them since 1983..when I was in Junior High School😍
I watched this broadcasting 24 yrs ago and this was attracted me very much. This was just a part of play in the joint live event. Great performance!

I cannot count how many times I listened to Eyes Of The Mind. Heard Casiopea every time they where in Copenhagen - the first time they were here was really intense. But this concert - wish I was there. Makes me want to go to Japan - where I have never been......
So did you finally go :D?
I love that casiopea takes on EWF's in the stone. Two of my favorite songs
amazing band!
The way Mukaiya moves at 2:23 lol i love the crowd as well. Amazing version
I have several Live Video Concerts Of this Great Band Back from when I was Touring Japan and Got to see them at the concert Hall Called the Egg.Back in the "80"s.
I dont think a human-made music can be much better than this.
2020 guys, if you watch this , you are a legend.
What a great band I'm glad I found them

Probably one of their best performances. They are great!
T C the 1985 live in Tokyo is my favourite
Or Casiopea vs The Square
mcbill i think this verison of eotm is bettrr than the 1985
i wanna be as happy as the dude at 5:04
wishing I was in that audience to dance with some really awkward japanese dudes
This brings me so much happiness it's mental 🎉🎉
I love minoru so much
He really is amazing 😊❤
One of my favorite live sets easily
Can’t believe I’m just discovering this band(thanks to Tik Tok). Holy shit this performance ignited my soul, especially seeing everyone get down with the fusion funk. Thank you sharing this!!!
thank god casiopea isn't on tiktok
Favorite alm.erwin prasetya ❤❤❤
No Phones just Vibes !
Best Casio line-up!!
Love this!! I was just born when they performed this
Minoru, you betta shake it!
Japanese crowds are great for musical performances. I like being in the crowd as much as I like the performance
No ones taking about that bass!! He’s fuckin killing it. If it wasn’t for him the song would sound a lot different
Excellent. Tetsuo Sakurai climax from 4:50 to 5:20!!!
Haha, I really love the chord progression too ! At 1:14 until 1:18, it's : Dm9 (or 11th chord indeed) - Eb9 - AbM7 - Dbm7
=)
I'm amazed people kept making music after this performance. I would have called it at this point.
Hard to disagree but there are some acts that live up to this, Snarky Puppy for instance!
Hot sounds island lol
This performance, and all the people radiate pure joy. What a beautiful thing. You couldn't get 10 people together for something like this where I live.
"Earth Wind and Fire" and "Casiopeia" the best bands ever!!!
AND SPYRO GYRA???
Best version because of the audience!!
Yeah, the megadrive/genesis had a Yamaha FM synthesis chip too!
Feels like 'in the stone' EWF, but owesome! Very happy to watch this
This song feels like Earth Wind and Fire's "In the stone". Love it!
You can bet that Casiopea listened A LOT to EWF before writing their songs…if you know what I mean.
Not quite. They have made their own sound and EWF is a different type of music. This is Fusion Jazz.
Best group in the World!
So good.
