So I first heard this song a couple years ago in 2016... And I had just recently converted from Mormonism to Biblical Christianity and this song came to my mind today as I read this verse in the Bible, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." (Ephesians 6:12-13) And I just loved this song SO much more! It's probably become my new all-time favorite Symphonic metal song now!

When I listen to it I don't know where is my soul. Somewhere flying far above. I like more heavier songs but I can't say other this song is beautyful!

This Present Darkness is a darn good song. Everyone give it a listen, at least once. If you like it, let Leah know. If you don't, that's okay too. But, really give it a non-judgemental chance. You'll love it!
I've been a Leah fan for a while now. She's not disappointed me yet. I'm looking forward to getting that new cd in my hands. I wonder what surprises she has in store for us this time. They'll be great I'm sure.

I'm a die-hard Symphonic Metalhead myself and absolutely love bands like Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Nemesea, Edenbridge, Sirenia, Delain, Leaves Eyes, Amaranthe and of course the SYMPHONIC METAL GODDESS herself Tarja Turunen lol, too name my personal favorites from the genre, and seems now I add another name to that list.....Leah McHenry, love you're music and love the fact you are not only Canadian but also a British Columbian like myself ;) I'm from Victoria and you've definitely made a FAN here ;) Great song!!

This song has a lot of feeling and the 7/4 time signature is awesome! Then near the end of this song, she goes from 6/8 back to 7/4 which is even more awesome!
