Literally one of the only games where you almost felt obligated to hop on everyday because you had real life enemies that you needed to grow stronger than (you knew that every day mattered, if you missed one day you knew everyone would be a level over you, and then it would be impossible to party with them and continue grinding with them - new maps, dungeons, etc). That's how close the community was. Not only that, every level was significant (mainly because it was so hard to level, literally everyone in your group would congratulate you when you leveled up...yes, it was that serious!) , Especially the levels where you got one of your main skills or the next weapon. Getting enough DIL (the currency) for even one +7 item was a game changer and likely took days of grinding. There was so much importance to every aspect of the game that you had no choice but to hop on everyday and play like your life depended on it. I don't think I've ever been so compelled by a game like I was by Dekaron, it was pure magic, it still is but it's not the same.

Back in the old days when I was like 15 I used to secretly stay up on school nights and go out with my linkshell (Guild) members at 3am and grind on measly crabs that were high leveled as $HIII while we had one level 75 white mage heal like all 10 of us XD that game was HARD!
You spoke to me on so many levels here xD. Dekaron was my first ever MMORPG and nothing ever compared after playing it. I started when I was 12 xD. And it's been ages since I played cos it's just not the same :(! I got to level 100 back in the super old dekaron days when it took days to level up at that level. Then all of a sudden everything came way too easily and you can level to 100 in a day :( :(

I think Deadfront is the best raid of any MMO I have ever played. It was so fun and challenging. I quit when 2Moon changed to Dekaron but I will never forget the times I spent pking in the dessert place

I start playing this game way back in late 2007. Managed to get to level 105 with my Vicious Summoner before i quit the game. Getting Dark Avatar was a big thing back then and i was the first VS to get it in my guild. Guild members gathered to see the skill and some higher lvls ask for pvp. Managed to win most of them including my senior Azure Knight who taught me a lot about this game. What a memory.
Almost spent 10 years on that. Seen em go from acclaim over nexon to papaya etc. I loved this game. In the Winter i loved the tree and the christmas melody playing in braiken and loa.
@@ganggreen2523 remember the training spots like 88:88 in the snow before you could be high enough level or rich enough to do the dungeon runs err crespo dungeon, and b or g room where bagi would lead all the mobs and party members and then drop aoe bombs in that lava tunnel with those spiders and the sirens..... also i really really miss "you're running low on mana baby" or my very favourite in i think hanabi or something the first little town from the main castle there was a guy near the teleport and he'd always say "my..my wife likes it down south dont cha know" which was the weirdest thing i ever heard until i realized later on he actually meant she likes her alcohol from down south
I used to be a DEV in 2moons early 2008. I was promised a certain amount of money. And they neglected to pay me and specific staff members. That is when everything went downhill. Behind scenes the people they had as DEV access are the ones who really owned the game. So they hired new people who took the jobs for less money lol. Dont tell me you're not going to pay me.....but i know the entire coding to the game? No matter how much you attempt to retrieve the game and lock the GM dshop i can always rewrite it. This video popped up on my recommended videos. Pretty interesting seeing a review about a game all these years later doing the same thing.

2007 player here …. I kept taking big breaks and going back to the game …I hate what the game has become now …not even recognisable . I really wish they can start a new server with non p2w
omg I've put in so many hours playing 2moons around 2006-2007. Had so much fun getting to around level 95 without spending a single $ on it.. until the higher level maps started getting overrun by all the hackers. I was fed up with them and the devs put in little effort into stopping them. So I decided to abandon the game, with no hard feelings for spending so much of my time on it. But before I quit, I decided to try the hacking tools myself which were very easy to find back then. I've only used the one that teleports you anywhere on the map and only after hours because I was afraid of someone spotting/reporting me and getting banned. Used it for about a week, then gave out all my items and dil and left my Azure Knight with an empty inventory.

Honestly, I've played Dekaron for years, it was my favorite MMORPG and there's nothing quite like it. Unfortunately, every time I try to come back, I always get disappointed by how easy the game is nowadays. The leveling system is just broken, you get too many upgraded items and the player base is just super low atm. Back in the day, you would actually see so many people in Dead Front, Dungeons and overall just killing mobs in Denebe, Loa, Braiken, etc. Upgrading your items to +4 was a friggin miracle and I would get so hyped that I got a cooper or silver and the upgrade actually worked. In my opinion, the game is just dead, it's really sad but that's just it.

Good o'l days .. this game kept me sane when i was so lonely back in the day, I remember i had the best time of my life on teamspeak with the guild members (NaturalBornKillaz) was the name of the guild i wish i could meet those people again and thank them (although i got kicked out in the end cuz i was noob af but no harsh feelings haha) and the excitement in Deadfront was just another level .. or getting a gold or silver copper !! It really saddens me that this has only become a good memory.
As stated, best PVP system ever it's awesome, it takes skill to pvp on dekaron not just button mash. That being said of course it's a game based on RNG whilst spending $1000's of dollars to even be a decent player. That being said, Dekaron is one of those games that will be close to my heart, the gear system, the enchanting system and the pvp system the grouping mobs system with a summoner will always be a beast rpg style in my eyes. Nothing compares sadly, closest it every got for me was EQOA and EQOA Frontiers for the playstation systems. It's hard to see games die but meh.
Shadowbane. No other game, despite it's 2004 graphics, EVER approached one of it's GvG or Nation v Nation "banes". So many thousands involved the lag was legendary and crashed the game on multiple occasions! 'Play to Crush' was Shadowbane's motto and we did!🤣
Its still worth playing dekaron but not the global server competitive pvp/pve still exist to other server been playing dekaron for 12yrs now and currently on rising dekaron with abit lesser pay towin and the pvp/pve is still way better.
this was the mmorpg that made me feel what is mmorpg... this was the game that made me understand what are stats, resistances, classes, roles, parties, etc... this was the game that made me realize how important it is to comunicate with people... i miss dekaron... played it till 2014... spent one of the best years of my life in this game... sad to see this happened...

The donate system should be about the costumes/mounts/pets only. Or items that still can be farm but that isn't not that fast to get it. It's sad to see that its this game is a p2w.
I'd like to see a new game called Dekaron 2 or 2 Moons based on the actual dekaron. Maybe someday a better company will buy the rights of this game but instead of republishing it they will make a new one. It would be INCREDIBLE. Just imagine the classes updated with different skills but staying with the same concept, and more customizable as well. Yes I'm dreaming a lot but at least it's free.
David Perry and his team did an excellent job bringing it but through the various hands it's become a freakshow. I remember one of the first big screw ups was toning back the script- the dialogue from the NPCs was apparently too raunchy so most of it was overhauled.

You do realize they hired some of [GM]s part-time and they can't influence anything, all they can do is run here and there some GM-made events, test the content before the release date, and pass a list of bugs to their higher DEV. [GM]Ares is a freaking kitchen chef for fuck sake. It is pretty much one-side decisions and as this dude in the video said it is all about the cash shop to milk as much from us as they can.

I do ! First Seg to reach 102!! I was in a guild called Justice as the Co leader around level 75 VS when QueenEvil made 102. I eventually quit around level 98 lol.
I disagree, but only for a very specific goal. If you are looking for a visually enticing, fun, solo, casual RPG experience with tons of class and enemy variation, Dekaron is a huge amount of fun up until around level 100 or so. That's maybe a few weeks of gameplay steady, but there are a lot of classes to level with. It's such a fun smooth experience. I can't speak for the PVP or current state of the economy but the gameplay is still there for PVE 100%. Tons of different unique locations and enemies and classes and abilities. It was honestly the best free to play RPG of it's time.

Dekaron look shit, but when you play it "PVP" You feel the power of the old animations, its such a heavy hitter PVP game even its Click target pres 1-0 / Ctril 1-0 etc. Massive power feel in that game.
I like the game. I dont care much for the competitive extreme end of it. I dont have to be the best or play against the best. I just like to have fun for the sake of the game. It's still fun. But like anything else, always room for improvement.
Papaya is by now beyond the phrase of "there is room for improvement". I'm sad that you waste your time and money there. Eventually you will come to realise like MoserRS and hundreds of others that it is irrational to invest in a company that does not reciprocate in neither care or service. They are there just to milk you away and use you, that's it, until the server dies like Dekaron Asia (another pay2win fest that is dead now).

The game had its time in the sun now it's dying and its just a money cash grab at this point was one of the strongest summoners in the game back before Male segnale(Segripper) I was banned for no reason when Nexon Europe owned the game at the time, of course, I submitted tickets but it went on deaf ears I think Miss management and ignoring your player base is a good way to keep a steady flow of lost interest in this gem of a game. I do miss the game but life moves on.

I bet AKs and bagi's still dominate pvp if gear is equal. That's how it was when I played. Pve was always kinda blah, but it always felt good to solo hard mobs...in fact you had to usually. Deadfront was the only time you could find a party. You had to beg high levels to take you through crespo, the argate system and item drops were atrocious. Not to mention PK 🤦😒

Played this game back in 2009 it was called Dekaron SEA then it was shutdown and transfered to Global. Fast forward Woaw 12 years went by so fast I remember earning a zevac ring or something that was OP at that time that you have to run the python DG for like 150 or 300 times was sickening yet fun you have to wait for diffrent kind of boss that took forever to kill BAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! One of the reason I got discouraged to come back was when I entered DK level 190 just last year I got bitch slapped by a bagi and Died like with one skill like What!??!?!before having a plus 9 set was decent to tank a little and play against heavy hitters and have a chance to survive now if you dont have this helpy armor or what not its bye bye for you. So no place for non payers to play which is so sad now. Before players who pay have an edge But not 100% Advantage over non payers so it ended up players who pay became So OP that ended up playing with no one else.

That being said of course it's a game based on RNG whilst spending $1000's of dollars to even be a decent player. That being said, Dekaron is one of those games that will be close to my heart, the gear system, the enchanting system and the pvp system the grouping mobs system with a summoner will always be a beast rpg style in my eyes. Nothing compares sadly, closest it every got for me was EQOA and EQOA Frontiers for the playstation systems. It's hard to see games die but meh.

Its still worth playing dekaron but not the global server competitive pvp/pve still exist to other server been playing dekaron for 12yrs now and currently on rising dekaron with abit lesser pay towin and the pvp/pve is still way better.
i loved playing so much i became a spot seg, no more Mother Goosing but power... then i realized how to make an invincible party or guild of segs

I remember I was 1st place on 1st Amercian-Server after 3month and then they IP banned europeans! Dekaron was just a farce! PvP is still fun but yeah so fkn pay2win everything! The donate system should be about the costumes/mounts/pets only. Or items that still can be farm but that isn't not that fast to get it. It's sad to see that its this game is a p2w.

I'd like to see a new game called Dekaron 2 or 2 Moons based on the actual dekaron. Maybe someday a better company will buy the rights of this game but instead of republishing it they will make a new one. It would be INCREDIBLE. Just imagine the classes updated with different skills but staying with the same concept, and more customizable as well. Yes I'm dreaming a lot but at least it's free.
David Perry and his team did an excellent job bringing it but through the various hands it's become a freakshow. I remember one of the first big screw ups was toning back the script- the dialogue from the NPCs was apparently too raunchy so most of it was overhauled.

You do realize they hired some of [GM]s part-time and they can't influence anything, all they can do is run here and there some GM-made events, test the content before the release date, and pass a list of bugs to their higher DEV. I disagree, but only for a very specific goal. If you are looking for a visually enticing, fun, solo, casual RPG experience with tons of class and enemy variation, Dekaron is a huge amount of fun up until around level 100 or so. That's maybe a few weeks of gameplay steady, but there are a lot of classes to level with. It's such a fun smooth experience. I can't speak for the PVP or current state of the economy but the gameplay is still there for PVE 100%. Tons of different unique locations and enemies and classes and abilities. It was honestly the best free to play RPG of it's time.
2moons was owned by acclaim but was sold to a korean group which is why its all about money now. all korean mmo's are the same

I like the game. I dont care much for the competitive extreme end of it. I dont have to be the best or play against the best. I just like to have fun for the sake of the game. It's still fun. But like anything else, always room for improvement.

Eventually you will come to realise like MoserRS and hundreds of others that it is irrational to invest in a company that does not reciprocate in neither care or service.
They are there just to milk you away and use you, that's it, until the server dies like Dekaron Asia (another pay2win fest that is dead now).

The game had its time in the sun now it's dying and its just a money cash grab at this point was one of the strongest summoners in the game back before Male segnale(Segripper) I was banned for no reason when Nexon Europe owned the game at the time, of course, I submitted tickets but it went on deaf ears I think Miss management and ignoring your player base is a good way to keep a steady flow of lost interest in this gem of a game. I do miss the game but life moves on.

I bet AKs and bagi's still dominate pvp if gear is equal. That's how it was when I played. Pve was always kinda blah, but it always felt good to solo hard mobs...in fact you had to usually. Deadfront was the only time you could find a party. You had to beg high levels to take you through crespo, the argate system and item drops were atrocious. Not to mention PK 🤦😒

Played this game back in 2009 it was called Dekaron SEA then it was shutdown and transfered to Global. Fast forward Woaw 12 years went by so fast I remember earning a zevac ring or something that was OP at that time that you have to run the python DG for like 150 or 300 times was sickening yet fun you have to wait for diffrent kind of boss that took forever to kill BAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! One of the reason I got discouraged to come back was when I entered DK level 190 just last year I got bitch slapped by a bagi and Died like with one skill like What!??!?!before having a plus 9 set was decent to tank a little and play against heavy hitters and have a chance to survive now if you dont have this helpy armor or what not its bye bye for you. So no place for non payers to play which is so sad now. Before players who pay have an edge But not 100% Advantage over non payers so it ended up players who pay became So OP that ended up playing with no one else.
