van cleef is excellent qualify plus the name means it has amazing resale value.
Tbf, neither are worth 5k. They're both made of less than 1/2 oz of precious metal and enamel.

This is not enamel this is black onyx. This is made all by hand - it goes through 140 hands to be exact and is worth it's price.

2 is real. The rattle makes it sound like high quality metal where as the first one sounds like plastic rattling (this is what my deaf ears hear). I also expect high quality metal to be heavier

Both look so cheap, got a 18K gold replica from Saudi Arabia and it looks much better than the real thing. I have seen the authentic one and I expected more for that price.

Neither bracelet is actually WORTH $5k .. That's just how much one of them COSTS. And the only reason why Van Cleef & Arpels can put that price tag on it, is because of their brand-name power. Same goes for Tiffany, Cartier, Dior & all other high-end designer brands. Jewellery, clothing & accessories from these exclusive labels are usually very high quality goods - which is why we'll still pay for it, even if it's not actually WORTH such hefty price tag. Dior is one of my favourite labels, because of the high quality.. I couldn't live without my Dior double-sided pure wool belted coat in Navy, which is so well made that it will last me FOR YEARS, and it goes with at least half of my wardrobe - and that's what makes its USD$5,400 tag worth every penny - to me, anyway.

It sounds more substantial. However, when looking at the on Onyx it looks like real one and not plastic or synthetic. The color on gold tone on bracelet no.2 seems to have a hue of pink which is also why I’m less towards the no.2 and of course I’ll be wrong lol 😆 😂
