damn...13-14 years ago I was skateboarding after school with friends every day. That's all I lived for. When I listen to this album, it makes me feel like I should have more memories of tons of different things than JUST skateboarding. All the parties I never went to, girls I never danced with/kissed, football games, dances, etc. But I cherish the memories I DO have and becoming intimate with my city through skateboarding and all the friends I made through that passion. Things were so care-free and we all go through this, but emotions well up and I feel like I'm gonna burst sometimes. fuck. Things are always more glorious in hindsight.

Synopsis:
The video for the single revolves around William Beckett and his band mates in high school. Beckett has it made; he has the girl, the friends and the popularity.
However, this turns out to just be a daydream; his sole friends at school are his band mates and the girl (played by American model Brittany Moser) is in a relationship with a jock football player. Throughout the course of the video, Beckett dreams of having the girl until finally, they embrace and drive off in what appears to be another one of his daydreams.
However, this daydream is revealed to be that of the girl's, longing for Beckett though trapped in a relationship with another guy. Beckett and she exchange eye contact, creating a possible future for the two.

Love this video...ending reminds me a bit of the ending of the movie Dark Horse. Yeah, maybe its unlikely to happen in reality, but life's all about making a connection with another soul, so you never know. And what's wrong with dreaming/fantasizing? Reality sucks sometimes, so its healthy to daydream/fantasize IMO if it helps you cope. I'm man enough to say it: fairytales rock :-) Whatever gets you through, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I guess I'm just one of those hopeful, idealistic dreamers. But I know its cooler and more acceptable to be cynical and a "realist". As I said - whatever gets you through. I used to listen to this song all the time a couple years ago my freshman year in high school. I used to constantly create a fake scenario that someone would have a hallway crush on me but I never thought it’d actually happen. Fast forward this year (my junior year) I found out a few months ago that my boyfriend of 6 months had a hallway crush on me on me since the beginning of freshman year (I went up to him and got his number at homecoming in September). Not only that but I found out a couple days ago that he would also listen to this song just as much as I did and created fake delusional scenarios in his head but they’d be about me. Not only did all my delusions become true, they helped me become closer with someone I already knew I’d end up marrying. He got me a promise ring for Christmas. He’s the only real gentleman in my town. He’s the sweetest person I’ve ever met. He’s my best friend. He calls me his goddess and his esposa (wife in Spanish) and on my masculine days (I’m genderfluid) he calls me his esposo (husband). He’s the only guy I’ve dated that has accepted me and loves me unconditionally as a bisexual and genderfluid person. I just can’t believe how lucky I am that I found my forever person as a Junior in high school. AND AT HOCO!!! My friends have notoriously only found the worst guys at hoco! (Even our zodiac signs are super compatible I’m a Taurus and he’s a Virgo) Before a couple days ago we had a different song, but I think this was always our song.
