This was not the original tune of this song when it was written. I wish it was sung that way now since the original tune is more uplifting and anointed.
I have never heard of any other tune for this song other than this tune and I have been hearing this song sung in churches and home since my childhood days. Can you point to a youtube video where the different tune is used.
Johnny unfortunately I tried to find one but I couldn't. I know the tune because my parents and all the people I knew used to sing the same way. I am sixty now so you can imagine the generation I am talking about. There was no Internet or CZcams then. Anyway I will continue my search in case I don't succeed probably I will sing and upload the same...😅
