- I've had this on my mind for quite awhile and now is the time to talk about it, in my last video there was a ton of comments going over how not having elowyn is affecting their game and I needed to talk about it. Hope y'all enjoy, its not a massive issue YET but it will be in the future

A game like this needs to have at least a few different successful team strategies for each map.

Yes, exactly this. Earlier I was restricted in what I could do, because I was missing both hollow and Laurel. Now months later almost all content done, but hard stuck on the last gear dungeon stages for missing very specific heroes. There should be a broader selection of heroes for all roles in all content, with reasonable routes to work towards it; not only saving pulls for weeks (or rather months) and then still having a very small chance of getting what you need to progress.
Fun fact: Lust also rage regens nightmare units with a chance
Playing WoR for around 8-9 months (with a short break) and still wasn't lucky enough to get Hollow... But i have 4 Kai's!

Yeah I spend a bit of money and had over 4k pulls, before they had a hollow banner, then had to pull a bit to get hollow. Then finally got laurel a month later once they had her banner and it took over 100 pulls to get Her. Thankfully I was able to get hollow early on with the $50 Esoterocist legendary hero guaranteed pack. Those 2 epic rage regen heros are extremely hard to get.
I agree, I also think that another problem is the banners themselves. If you want Elowyn and pull on her banner, you only have a 20% chance to get her. This makes the hero extremely rare to get even if you save up and only pull on their banners. I wish that banners worked like Epic Seven or atleast like Genshin Impact.

I feel this pain and agree with points made. 7k normal summons and still don’t have elowyn. Only thing I can’t beat at the moment is GR5 stage 6. No hex either is a problem here. Future content needs elowyn it’s obvious she just gets better over time
Interesting take, I am an end-game player in one of the top 10 guilds - have played since game launch and never been lucky enough to pull Elowyn, however I have cleared all content without looking at guides and never felt that I was 'missing' Elowyn. Enjoy the vids, keep them coming man

Its starting to add up, i have a lot of good champs with decent stats and still struggle to progress through any of the very late stages without Elo.
What do you mean late stages? Cause i think other than the mentioned gear dungeon 1 and 2 by destined the rest is perfectly fine to do without her

I’ve been playing almost the full year since the game started, but am missing key heroes to progress: Elowyn, Arrogance, Zilitu, Hex, Vierna, Khamet. This means I just struggle against most end game content because I can’t put out enough damage or rage regen with Elowyn. I’ve pulled on all the right banners but just haven’t got these key heroes.
She also dispels as well
They know what they are doing: rigged her rates, make her important, screw people over it, and force them to spend.
I know it's a gatcha, but these mfs are literally making late games not accessible for F2p.
Btw: good luck beating Semrah without Elowyn. She is an oxygen level of importance. And it honestly infuriates me.
Imagine Anora can't be placed on debuffed tiles, or get damaged by corrupted tiles, and they never release any other kind of debuffs than tile based debuff and she's affected by all of them
Gacha flaw is that for you to succeed in end game is just be lucky with isanely good heroes and you are set. Skill comes to find a comp when you dont have all needed heroes.
elowyn is more of a lord than laya
Lots of easy remedies. First, look at the underused toons and rework. Suggestions: Meriel - since Constance came along Meriel has been shelved. Give an A5 Meriel the passive ability to rage regen all allies. Another remedy - improved gear - the mana regen gear is weak sauce. Another remedy: scenario buffs. And finally rework some rare toons to focus on rage regen

You're spot on. I can't do gr5-6 because my Hatssut on that 1 tile you mentioned can't ult in time half way through. I tried putting an Atk speed soulbound piece on her (lulz) and she can get her ult back in time, but she does no damage. I'd need to literally 5x her damage or some shit sigh.
All games like this revolve around cycling abilities as quickly as possible, speed boosts and cd reduction in the case of your raid example and rage regen in watcher of realms. If a hero can enable that they will be "required".
The issue i see here is not rage regen or champs who can enable that style, but rather active restrictions on other styles. Hard cc could be a viable platstyle in some areas, but in the hardest content it is restricted. Poison gets nerfed. Rage regen is just the one that hasnt been restricted or nerfed....but if we get a lot of content like this we will catch a nerf here rather than making other styles viable.
All of the new content is made with the presumption that you have the base legendary heroes like Elowyn, Brokkir, Hatz ( I'm missing all 3 of them) a lot of content becomes 2x harder without them.
Alot of the new content has become more hero specific and I don't think it'll just stop at elowyn

Preach. No Elowyn and I can't complete Stage 6 of Gear Dungeon 1. Missing that extra rage regen totally kills the last part of the stage.

In the new guild boss she is also a must have! I'm currently stuck at gear dungeon 1-6 and 2-5 because i don't have her. 230 days old account and I'm also missing an Exoterics lord (even an epic one) .
1000% 5300 summons in and still don’t have her. Spent money on her banner twice. Stuck in GD2 till I get her and hattsut. The only two heros I still need, who have the lowest rates. Weird how that works out…hero gated to the max
Own a hero... is good but... if u don't have gear for them it is no use... I think the most important thing in this game is the gear

True, I am F2P and I didn't spend a single diamond on summons. Every diamond I have is going for stamina and GR1-3 farming. It makes a huge difference to my account. I was lucky enough to pull Hex. Hex with random gears was doing alright dmg to guild boss but nothing crazy. A week ago I finally managed to finish my first Soulbound Arcana set with the right stats (it's not amazing but it's pretty good) Hex dmg basically doubled!
Buy with Elowyn it's a bit different, you need Skill Crystals to max her Nature Favour and she is ready to go. Without NF maxed out she is just a good healer.

yep,i agree 100%,played raid for like 3 years,the only place where there was hero exclusivity was arena and even there there was workarounds,this game is heading in the wrong direction

I agree this is a massive problem we need more hero’s that can debuff and dispel they need to add more epic hero’s with those abilities like now.
Elowyn and Hatssut are the last 2 Legendary meta heroes I obtained. I manage to clear all the contents and 50K GB without these 2, but before the GDs were introduced. I tried GD1 without Elowyn, really difficult but doable, but GD2 is too much without Hatssut.

Agreed. I dont have Elowyn nor Hollow and i struggle a ton! Finally i got Laurel on her last banner (like 6 times lol). Mind you, I beat all 21 Dungeons but the gear dungeons are a nightmare for me so far.
Yeah I feel bummed out anytime I get a healer for a leggo because elowyn+hollow on every map is just better than anything else
gr1-21 was so hard for me to complete the first time because no Elowyn, same thing for gr4-6 and gr5
There are specific heroes required to clear most content. It's not just "Elowyn problem". And it's getting worse with every new hero added into the game.
Banners are starting to feel like a waste of summons. Except if it's something like 2x 15x.
Most ftp accounts are in a position where they don't have Hatsuut but have Elowyn, or they don't have Khamet, but have Silas and no Vierna, or vice versa.
What i mean, you might have Elowyn, but try clear gear dungeon 1, or gr1 21 with Greed and Abyzou.
It looks like cleanse is going to be important in the new Guild Boss. So Midan and yeah...Elowyn..

I've been playing for 11 months, 4.9k pulls and I pulled during the Elowyn banner and I still don't have her
Guess what? Weekly guild boss is another area where elowyn is the best character for her rage regen and dispell
I feel stuck cause I don't have a good aoe mage lol. But yes, Elowin would unlock a lot of content for me as well.

I don't have elowyn, vierna, hatssut & Valkyria. Kinda sucks but I think it will be a different story if at least I have elowyn on my team.

I have been playing since last August. I do not have Silas or Hatsuut. I cannot look for a guide for ANYTHING because they all depend on those two units.
I had the opposite problem until recently - Silas but no Vierna. You need the bond skill to use him the way the guides do.
I got 20 ancient summoning crystals, should I use or save em for the anniversary event?

The 2nd legendary I ever pulled was elowyn in the first week of the game, mega lucky I know but Ive played 5 months now, and I can't get hollow or laurel its absolute madness considering I've had eona multiple times now, which is arguably rarer to pull 🤣

Its my first legendary heroes, when im still new to this game i tought i got a bad luck since my mindset when im still new to the game is to have dps hero not support hero, but i know im wrong, its the most useful heroes in the game..

I did GD 2-6 without Elowyn or Hatssut. Didn't use Nyx or Silas either. Everyone was A0 except Hex (A1). I did need Ardea to handle left side though (which included top side as they travel around too).
To be clear, I'm also super frustrated that I didn't have Elowyn. She's my #2 most wanted hero (#1 Hatssut, #3 Silas). I tried to get all 3 on their banners... But nope... I agree with the whole video, but just wanted to mention that GD2-6 is at least "possible" without Elowyn. (Aylin was my only healer for it)

@@Binzob Ardea, Toro (or any tank - he just invig's Ardea and tanks mobs) on left side. Volka and Edith on bottom, with Zilitu in left-most spot down there (facing upwards so she helps kill left-side phys.res. clone when she ults). Aylin in middle platform to heal everyone (Aylin is awesome). Hex in upper-right platform to help with clones coming across middle. Valeriya to take care of m.res. clones coming across middle. Arrogance occasionally in Valeriya's mid spot (facing left) to help with everything on left lane that came from top. Solcadens occasionally in top-left platform spot (facing left) to help Zilitu burn down the phys.res. clones as they come around the corner. Gear is decent, mostly Ancients on the important DPS dudes, but not like super amazing ones. Ardea needs your best Inf.Roar gear, Zilitu should prob get your best Soul.Arc. gear. The key to all this is PERFECT TIMING on literally everything. Took me a LOOOONG time to get it perfected...
totally agree with the Elowyn issue for gd 2-6 I was personally able to beat it with a1 Ezryn with his exclusive

Elowyn was my third leggo that i summoned. That was where my luck went downhill. I couldn t summon any aoe leggo for 3-4 for months. Dhalia saved me and i just got Vierna. It feels like if you get luky enough to summon a good unit, you won t see anything else, but azhor, ezryn and crach very soon
I think the creator community has created this issue, actually. There are 6+ heroes who directly rage boost other units (you missed Lust and Venoma), and another half dozen or dozen who do it via covert means (Eso Lord skill, boosted ATK SPD), but content creation focusses on the most obvious heroes. My GB team doesn't include Laurel; it was designed to be "lazy" by minimizing placing-and-removing, but it scores well. I intentionally tried to solve puzzles differently from everyone else.
There's also been an emphasis on other heroes providing Rage Regen boosts, instead of using mechanics like gear substats and attack speed to generate rage. As an example, my GB Salazar has 85% rage regen. I have one Warlord/Fracture DPS set (currently on Annai), where I have 101% Rage Regen from subs. I think the content community has picked up some biases because of Guild Boss thinking (maximized damage!) that don't translate into all other content; for most mid-game content "good enough" is good enough.
Granted, Stage 6 of Gear Dungeons isn't mid-game content, and I am one of the content creators who used Elowyn for my posted GD2-6 clear... but I was specifically building around not having Ardea. At that point, she was the assumed requirement for the bottom lane, and I replaced her with an Epic.
Your larger point: heroes being a content-lock, is something I talked with Ivy about during my Shamir video. I think the Devs heard that comment, because they've started releasing new ways to remove hero-locks on Faction Trial Content. However, creators should continue to try to find creative ways to clear content that doesn't have an explicit hero-lock. My persistent challenge for myself is "take a hero that everyone says is trash, and figure out something interesting to do with it".
I don't have Elowyn and I do pretty well. My biggest obstacle is damage dealing because content is very gear dependent. To be fair I haven't taken a hard look at GDII yet so I may change my mind.
It's a huge gear check (how many good sets if gear you have since you use 4-5 dps that all needs pretty good gear) and an Elowyn check .
I really hope they do 15x Elowyn soon. As a f2p I went all out on her only banner and did not get her. Been playing for almost a year now

you are 100% correct. there are 2 more mechanics that hardly have heroes for. only 4 anti heal units in game and only 3 can be used for GD1 stage 6. And then cleansing debuffs. how many heroes removes debuffs and are easily assessable. lol. u will need a cleanser on each team when GB2 comes out. i only have midan lol. i also don't have Elowyn.

they should release a global range rage regen epic that would be able to beat Elowyn at giving rage to 1 or 2 heroes on the map but couldn't do it for everyone and wouldn't be a cleanser or healer..
like they would only be there for that purpose of giving very high rage regen from the other side of the map
Maybe when they do the 2nd epic esoteracist lord they can make them have a skill that regens rage for the field just much slower than elowyn, so it’s something similar enougu

Should add Hollow and Dolores as like permanent fusions or something. Way too important to not have. A new rage regen hero would be nice, could be a global one like Elowyn but an epic so slightly weaker. And ideally be guaranteed for everyone.

yes its not too tough luckily since you can run a piercer lord + lili and it lets you build your top right dps with full dps
The reason why its so hard for 6 is because you need to generally ult twice with hatssut instead of once

Im missing Elowyn so much, after 280 days and comleting end game stuff is hard, Gear dungeon 1 stage 6 was crazy hard and gear dungeon 2 for me without Ardea, Hattsut, heavy ST melee magic figher and Elowyn is huge strugle for me
Same problem is with Valeria or any ancient exlusive units with low cost on arena and if you miss those ST arena is big pain becose of curent meta in ST arena with those Valerias

I totally agree with you dest, I’m so tired of seeing elowin in every single stage 6 of gear dungeon. I just immediately dislike and click off the video cause it makes me angry cause I don’t own her lol
So… is Elowyn the problem or lack of Elowyn the problem? There was an Elowyn banner just a few weeks ago so unless for the anniversary they bring back every banner (which would be awesome) I don’t see her getting the 15x treatment anytime soon.

@@Destined_WoR I get it. I don’t have Elowyn and I struggle in content but I think it’s more of a gear and skill (or lack thereof) issue. I watch you solo GR1-21 with Dahlia with 100% crit rate, 300% crit damage, 300% attack and I can’t beat GR1-20 and I have Demi, Dahlia, Khamet, Eona, Hollow, Hatssut all level 60 but I don’t have the skill crystals to max them out or the gear the max thresholds.
I don't have much issue with final stages of dungeons or gear raids being kind of restricted by not having a Hero. I mean, It's the final stage.. No Elowyn..maybe do stage 5? lol. TBH, Raid is very similar..It only seems not because that have like 800 champions in the game lol. WoR is just a baby still :D
Ya I don't have her. I didn't go hard for her during her 10x because I was a new player and didn't see how crazy good and necessary she would be on the account. And the banner hasn't come back yet. Got Laya and she's not nearly as useful...
Maybe its an option for people to start saving Gears with RR substat? I feel like its a very underrated stat. Most people would go for CR CDMG and ATK.
It doesn’t compare at all to a rage regen hero, although rage regen is a very good substat
I used maxed scarab on dolores but I can barely notice the difference of 50% RR. Now I use keen wisdom on her everywhere.

Go check out Silas as well. So many people have Silas so it doesn't seem to be that big of a problem but those without Silas has a similar problem than those without Elowyn.

The MooScammers are greedy and stupid, for example, they nerf the rate and stats of ancient gears, add useless Lego heroes only for gr1, and the last drop for me, they announce Myca fusion after Oddysey quest where you need to sell 20+ epics, in my opinion only devs will play the game soon ...
The rate nerf genuinely is not a thing, I think its made up, and they are buffing rates anyways lol
And I'm not sure why your complaining about odyssey quests which are designed to take awhile and a free fusion for everyone until the end of time.

@@darkki94 I forgot about that - I think I also use her in a couple of stages. I would definitely be using a hero like Elowyn a lot more. It's sad that such a rare lord is so underwhelming.

Managed to do all content without Elowyn.
Well, until gear dungeons appeared. Stuck on GR4-5 for not having a decent AoE Mage besides no Elowyn. Eona doesn't cut it for stage 6. GR5 I haven't even been able to clear stage 4.

Yeah, I did 4-6 and 5-5 without Elowyn, check some guides. There's a cool Lili strat for GR5
The only part I'm struggling with is Eona killing bottom mobs. they're down to 2-3% health when block healing runs out. Perhaps it's time to revisit eona's gear. Been a while since I last tried. For the top I alternate Laurel and Laya.
Also WoR hasn't made or introduce another healer that can rage-regen like Elowyn. This makes some game mode impossible.

But if they were to add other heroes with global rage regen that would probably cause some balance problems of its own when they're used together, so I'm not sure what the best way out of this is...

Its bothered me a long time, that moonton know you need sertain heroes and they make them hard to get is not what they need to do if they want more ppl to enjoy the game. I mean whales will always get everything anyway. Also Elowyn is important couse she can single heal GR5 and if you bring 2 healers it will be really hard to get a good setup, since then its more specific heroes required.
331 days, 4123 summons, still no Elowyn OR Hollow. Gear Dungeon is next to impossible
I do have both Hollow and Elowyn. But i Dont use either of them and can clear Up to stage 5. Stage 6 i do need atleast Hollow.

I don't agree hollow is better at rage regen. Elowyn make makes rage regen stacks with Hollow. We just need more rage regen heros.
plus newer players shouldnt be doing gear dungeon 4 or 5 yet..i hv a1 elowyn and still havent done stage 6 on gear dungeon1 yet

This is end game content. IMO Elowyn is not the problem everything I gear intensive.
Gear is a lot better than hero restrictions though because it’s far more easily accessible, it’s easier to get a bunch of good gear pieces than a specific hero you need
I don't agree, you can use Hollow all the way until the hardest levels. Why does everyone have to be able to clear the hardest content with mediocre units, the whole point of summoning is getting that game changing hero, that's what makes summoning so exciting and soul crushing. I am free to play, and when I say free to play I mean not a cent spent. I have Elowyn, but guess what I don't have have Praetus, Solcadens, Twinfiend, Torodor, Valderon etc.. or a ton of other game changing heroes. I had Silas for 7 months fully skilled before I pulled Vierna, 7 months he was on the shelf with Crach. But when I finally pulled Vierna it was amazing. I love having something awesome to strive for.. You would be right if none of gear dungeon was doable, but you yourself even did it without her, with extreme difficulty albeit (A5 Nyx). That's just my 2 cents.
Fair but there’s a major difference between a hero that is good but not needed and a character that’s almost completey needed in my opinion
I get what you mean, having heroes to always pull for is great and what makes the game fun however locking stages behind a single hero is bad game design, it makes it so that your gear doesn’t matter, no skills needed or anything all you need is a specific hero, I’m lucky to have elowyn but I believe locking something behind someone is not good for the long run of the game.

I disagree, personally i think that you can do every content in the game without her, sure she will help a lot but it s not necessary. For example, in gr1 and gd1 is strongly recommend an antiheal but you can clear all the stages without it, and you have only 4 legendaries that can apply antiheal. Is that a problem? Of course not. The Only content in the game where you need specific units is faction trial, for example you can't do watcher faction trial stage 12 without a cratch, it s a crap of a unit but you need him or you cant get the achievement.
That’s fair, but ask anyone who does the highest level content who doesn’t have elowyn even if they have every other hero and they will say they feel like their account is bricked
This game is SUPER GREEDY 3 TYPES OF CURRENCY to get units and its at 250 pity that’s the issue

I do not agree with the focus of that video, at all. The problem for Destined seems not to be Elowyn, but the setup of GearDungeon2 stage 6. Maybe you should imagine that not everyone (inc. you) are not necessarily entitled to do stage 6? I have not done it yet, btw.
I actually really like how Moonton is making certain heroes excell in certain content to make them relevant. Otherwise I would not use 90% of my heroes.

Anyways the arguement stated in this video has very little relation to moonton making obscure heros good in content, in fact it was talking about the exact opposite. Yea they make things relevant but they also make content based around hard to obtain legendaries with important mechanics that are scarce.
Also I should not be able to go onto the biggest whale account with every hero and the best gear you’ve ever seen but DONT have elowyn, and have it be completely impossible for them to beat a stage… which is going to get harder with the next year dungeon update lol
@@Destined_WoR My point is: you do not seems to have a problem with Elowyn, but the fact that more heroes are not like Elowyn. You want more Elowyn-likes, so that if you do not have the actual one, to be able to do content. That is not equal to "Elowyn is a problem". The problem is not her, but the fact there aren't more like her.
I pulled Elowyn finally recently after reaching around 5400 summons. She immediately made such a difference on my account due to that board wide rage regen. It is insane.
They will eventually need to add more heroes in the game that do this in a way that RSL did with turn meter boost. More options for it since it is clearly so important.
How? Are you just not progressed in the game? I pulled Elowyn on the Dahlia banner, but I already have all 21s done and GR4-6 and Gr5-5 done.
@@samjar87 NO. I have everything done except GD2-6. I didn't say she helped me progress, I just said she made a difference as far as speed of battles.
Rage regen is not more important. I can prove it. No one uss a rage regen acessory. Except for on one hero. So na rage regen isnt most important.
Rage regen stat is WILDLY different than the rage regen mechanic.
Level 77 here, no hollow no laurel no elowyn. This is unbelievable because it's not like I haven't tried to pull the epics from rate up.
just grind more gear that has rage regen subs or main stat...no one keeps those pieces tho

Those only give you rage if you have someone to attack (and/or attack you), and they don't restore rage during your ult, and...
