"Previously in Monster Hunter Frontier G6, the limited-time monthly Sky Corridor Expedition was added to Frontier. In that update and beyond, hunters could only explore the first district of the Sky Corridor. In G8, the second district was added to Monster Hunter Frontier."
"Hunters need to be HR5 (HR100) and TR51 (Tower Rank) to enter the second district of the Sky Corridor, and this part of the Tower is much deadlier than the first district. New traps and puzzles can be found in the second district, as well as some never before seen monsters."
"Although the second district is more dangerous than the first, new stronger materials can be found in the Sky Corridor to craft new equipment such as this armor."
"The second district of the Sky Corridor wasn't the only thing that got deadlier. After its appearance in G6, Duremudira reappeared in the second district of Sky Corridor. In G8, Duremudira got stronger."
"After sustaining a certain amount of damage, this "second district" Duremudira will begin to use new attacks before falling to the ground as if it has been slain. A few seconds after it stops moving, cold air will fill the room and freeze over the whole area."
"Once it has reawakened, this Duremudira demonstrates newfound mastery over ice and poison. At this point, Duremudira is easily one of the strongest monsters in all of Monster Hunter, and some hunters consider it stronger than even Disufiroa."

"Unidentified corpses have been discovered in the Sky Corridor belonging to an unknown species. What kind of Elder Dragon could be living in the Sky Corridor, and how was it able to drive off the ancients that lived there originally?"
"Only one beast stands above all others in the Sky Corridor. The "Guardian of the Sky Corridor" is a powerful Elder Dragon that originally didn't have a name, and is now known to the Guild as Duremudira, the Emperor Ice Dragon."
"Duremudira is a complete mystery to the Guild. Many things about it are unknown, but they figured out this monster is the reason why the ancient people that lived in the Sky Corridor abandoned the tower. It broke into the massive structure and made it its lair."
"It's unclear where Duramudira's original habitat is, but the Guild isn't sure where to even begin looking. No ancient documents exist of Duremudira, so learning about the monster is quite literally a nightmare."
"Although very little is known about Duremudira, hunters that have challenged the Elder Dragon report all sorts of things about it."
"Duremudira is a master of ice and uses cold air to freeze moisture around its environment. It can freeze whole rooms in the Sky Corridor, trapping hunters with it and preventing them from leaving its lair. If a group is underprepared, this monster likely will be their final hunt."
"Compared to most monsters, Duremudira is extremely aggressive and violent. Once it has sights on intruders, it'll do everything in its power to make sure their death is gruesome, and it'll relentlessly attack them without any mercy. Truly, Duremudira is a demon."
"The most terrifying part about Duremudira is not only his mastery of ice and aggression but its poison. When near death or when it senses a threat is stronger than it anticipated, Duremudira will unleash a deadly poison and combine it with its ice."
"This "Corrupted Poison" (Japanese 壊毒) not only drains a hunter's health at a rapid rate but it also lowers their armor's defense, making it a lot easier for Duremudira to finish off its opponents. To cure this poison, hunters need to drink a Wonder Drug."
"Most of the hunters that have faced it have never returned, showing how dangerous this monster is. Only a handful of experienced hunters were able to slay or repel a Duremudira, and doing so isn't an easy task. Rumor has it that Duremudira isn't even using its full strength."
"According to Frontier's Producer, Duremudira's appearance is meant to resemble a violent demonic force of pure evil. Originally, Duremudira would gradually gain new parts, such as its wings, as its fight went on."
"In terms of strength and power, Duremudira is comparable to Conquest War, and even Solstice War, monsters, including Disufiroa. Some say that Disufiroa and it are equals. Though Disufiroa has more health, Duremudira's hyper-aggressive nature and attack power make it deadly."
"To this day, Duremudira remains the one of the most popular monsters in all of Monster Hunter Frontier. It is second only to the Unknown (Black Flying Wyvern)."

Yeah so i saw the comparison to Nergi in the comments.
In which dimension is nergi against dure a fair fight?? Nergi may be physically strong and all, but Duremudira is probably one of the only "normal" elder dragons, who can beat a Black dragon to a Standstill. Nothing is more potent and scary than waves of poison combined with ice/electricity, colossal physical Power and probably the most aggression out of all monsters combined .
So yeah Nergi would probably instinctively flee.
