Also, just a friendly suggestion, but there are smart doggy doors that only open via chip so that can be a neat thing to look into if you're looking for the extra security while still letting your pets regain the same amount of freedom around the house. Just connect it to the microchip in your boys so you don't have to risk sakura exploring away via open door. (I saw a video of an older cat being built their own "panic room" using this smart pet door since the younger cat was too hyper. You just see the cat go in and relax while the hyper kitty pawed relentlessly from the other side. So cute).

At one of my jobs we had a super nervous cat that lurked outside the office. Took some time of feeding her and slowly getting closer to her but I was finally able to grab her and bring her inside...she absolutely LOVES living the pampered inside cat life! If the door was left open though she would run out and go hide. It was difficult to get her back if she got out as she become so scared and nervous outside that she wouldn’t come to me even tho she would when inside. Cats are curious and if you leave the door open they will go outside. With a cat you need to keep your door shut. It’s not her fault its just their nature

It's like quarantine, with the exception that it never ends. Sure you get to see friends and family on occasion, but you're almost never allowed to leave. Would you really want that for anyone?

I really hope you weren’t serious about rehoming your cat if she manages to get out again. Cats are very curious creatures and will roam when able to. Especially if they’ve been blocked off in one area. It’s not her fault she got out of the house. She’s had a sad life and you could give her a wonderful life. You started this journey with her because you seemed to care so much for her so if that wasn’t faked, you should finish it with her as well. You ended up with a sweet and loving cat. Be grateful!

Dark Potato yes that kinda happened to me, my friend lived in this big shared house and it had a half underground basement thing full with random stuff and it was dusty and creepy. we were hanging out and i leaned against the door and i told her i heard meowing. I asked if i should open the door but she said i probably shouldn’t but i opened it anyways and my cat came out. I was thinking about what would have happened if i didn’t open it. I make sure all 3 of my kitties are here the moment I wake up, the moment I get home, and right before going to bed. Other than that, they're always in the same spots in the house anyway, and if they aren't there when I do a random check on them, I freak out like crazy. Most of the time they had just gotten up to use the litter box as I was looking for them or so XD

My sister just moved away for college and I would love to give this to her as a present since she doesn't really have a console..she has always wanted one and I just know it would make her so happy. My favorite thing about escape the night was definitely the set and outfits, everything looked incredibly realistic so I was heckin' impressed :)
Cats are curious so if they see an open door, they will generally go to investigate. Odds are that she got curious went outside and then was scared to go back in because of the dogs or she followed like a lizard or something and got stuck inside of those tunnels. It's good to let cats outside under supervision, it lets them get the urge to go outdoors out.

I have all indoor cats and if they get a chance will sneak outside. Its just how they are and they have been indoor for all of their lives. Get her kitty grass and maybe she won't venture outside to b chew on it. I would love the escape the night switch because it would be a fun reminder of all of my CZcams humans hanging out. :)
You're lucky I found her! You definitely need to start closing the door because cats are curious little buggers whether they be indoor or outdoor cats. My girl once ran away for 3 months which left me extremely devastated and depressed. Luckily she was microchiped and was eventually caught and returned back to us! She lost a lot of weight and look like she had stopped grooming; her hair grew so much that she looked like a much bigger cat than she was. Anyways glad you found your Sakura. P.s. I found you through her videos, keep making cat or even dog videos as i would like to watch more about your fur babies

If you do feel Sakura wants to be outdoors, you could build her a little enclosure outside that goes from the window into a little run that has toys, a bed, etc. There are many ways for your cat to be able to go outside safely.
I have a rescue i named rowan. I got him from a lady who was threatening to throw him outside because he was Hershey squirting everywhere (he was 15 weeks old and she fed him dog food). She would hold him by his scruff and press a pad of rubbing alcohol to his butt, so when i got him he was prolapsed...after a lot of love, his health came back to him. But he got out. I was so worried but after a month I got a call saying someone found him in their garage! After I got him back i found out more about his previous owner...turns out she had his brother too but her 11 year old strangled him to death. Im so happy my boy has me now

Yo! I've been watching Escape the Night since season one, and I've been in love with it ever since. I have this tradition where every time a new season comes out I'll stay up all night binge watching the entire series again- I know that's an issue, but can't help it! My favorite season has to be 3. Love how colorful and creative it was. Hoping to win that Switch, been trying since Animal Crossing came out, and I've also been dying to play Splatoon 2. Best of luck to everyone participating.

I make sure all 3 of my kitties are here the moment I wake up, the moment I get home, and right before going to bed. Other than that, they're always in the same spots in the house anyway, and if they aren't there when I do a random check on them, I freak out like crazy. Most of the time they had just gotten up to use the litter box as I was looking for them or so XD

Hi Joey! My sister just moved away for college and I would love to give this to her as a present since she doesn't really have a console..she has always wanted one and I just know it would make her so happy. My favorite thing about escape the night was definitely the set and outfits, everything looked incredibly realistic so I was heckin' impressed :)
She’s just behaving like a normal cat. If you love her, you’ll work through this.
Cats are curious so if they see an open door, they will generally go to investigate. Odds are that she got curious went outside and then was scared to go back in because of the dogs or she followed like a lizard or something and got stuck inside of those tunnels. It's good to let cats outside under supervision, it lets them get the urge to go outdoors out.

I have all indoor cats and if they get a chance will sneak outside. Its just how they are and they have been indoor for all of their lives. Get her kitty grass and maybe she won't venture outside to b chew on it.

You're lucky I found her! You definitely need to start closing the door because cats are curious little buggers whether they be indoor or outdoor cats. My girl once ran away for 3 months which left me extremely devastated and depressed. Luckily she was microchiped and was eventually caught and returned back to us! She lost a lot of weight and look like she had stopped grooming; her hair grew so much that she looked like a much bigger cat than she was.
Anyways glad you found your Sakura. P.s. I found you through her videos, keep making cat or even dog videos as i would like to watch more about your fur babies

If you do feel Sakura wants to be outdoors, you could build her a little enclosure outside that goes from the window into a little run that has toys, a bed, etc. There are many ways for your cat to be able to go outside safely.

I have a rescue i named rowan. I got him from a lady who was threatening to throw him outside because he was Hershey squirting everywhere (he was 15 weeks old and she fed him dog food). She would hold him by his scruff and press a pad of rubbing alcohol to his butt, so when i got him he was prolapsed...after a lot of love, his health came back to him. But he got out. I was so worried but after a month I got a call saying someone found him in their garage! After I got him back i found out more about his previous owner...turns out she had his brother too but her 11 year old strangled him to death. Im so happy my boy has me now

Poor Sakura, glad she’s ok. I would of done the same if it was my kitties. Outdoor kitties aren’t normally skittish, she seems more sure of herself when she’s indoors. Just be careful next time. I myself have 5 indoor kitties and two strays who I spayed. 🥰😸🙌🏼

Yo! I've been watching Escape the Night since season one, and I've been in love with it ever since. I have this tradition where every time a new season comes out I'll stay up all night binge watching the entire series again- I know that's an issue, but can't help it! My favorite season has to be 3. Love how colorful and creative it was. Hoping to win that Switch, been trying since Animal Crossing came out, and I've also been dying to play Splatoon 2. Best of luck to everyone participating.
