Like you guys I drive for work, however now I’m driving for a car dealership across the country. Love it! I put on 100-180k a year plus I fly a lot. Hotels. The best part when I travel for myself it’s free. Anyway I get to see every state and Canada for free. Oh to answer yes I go to Alaska. My favorite trip is from Oregon to Alabama. Through the mountains in Wyoming, Utah, and Montana. For those out there especially those retirees who retire early driving for these companies is an a great opportunity. I by the way do not drive a transport. We found driving one was too costly. So we just fly out pick up and drive csr or truck back. Or a lot of times we drive out and fly or drive back. 😮😅😊

I am actually looking at downsizing my personal 39 foot fifth wheel and Ram 3500 with a 22 foot Bambi and full size SUV. I’m doing that smaller footprint thing! I would love to hear your thoughts on the fit and finish of the Bambi you hauled and Jeff’s thoughts on how it pulled ( I’m sure it didn’t work the Ford too hard!) Thanks.
It pulls like there wasn't even a camper behind us! The only thing is, is that the Bambi is a single axel..and we always have liked the security of a dual axel camper. But, the Bambi was a FANTASTIC quality Airstream!
Yes, my preference would be a tandem axle as well. I may look at other models, but I think I will end up with a Bambi. As long as it trails nicely behind the tow vehicle.

My husband wants to get into the RV hauling industry, he has his CDLA and has experience with hauling freight and cars, can you give any recommendations on a good RV transport he can apply too ? Ty
Hello Cat! Thanks for watching! We used to drive for Synergy RV Transport. They treated us very well and are a great company to work for! If you end up putting in an application for Synergy, please, put "Transport Bandits" or Cheryll Arnold down in the referal box!
You can Google RV Transport companies if you want to check out other companies and rates.
There are dozens of companies. All based out of the Elkhart, Indiana area. Give them a call and speak with a recruiter.
The best thing you can do is watch our videos from the start..especially the one titled Application to Orientation.
It will tell you all your requirements. Hope this helps!

We run with MOTIVE now, switched to it back in January, much easier!
@Transport Bandits is it a ELD OR JUST REGULAR MOTIVE APP
No it is just the standard, Motive. We do not have an ELD. But, we spoke with our companies D.O.T. lawyer about that. Apparently, you can run boats if the commodity being transported IS the TRAILER & BOAT..manufactured together where there is a sleeping compartment and the wheels are touching the ground. The whole thing ( Trailer and Boat) IS the commodity. Listed as a Recreational Vehicle to be sold as one unit together. I have the Green book code somewhere, bur not in front of me now.
@Transport Bandits ok. Wave Express is going to start hauling boats, cargo, cell towers and horse trailers but they we had get get an ELD.
Yep, it's a really grey area.. the boat/trailer combo. Sold as one unit and manufactured as a set, would be the only exception to not having an ELD. I would get an ELD to haul ANYTHING ELSE.
