It's a pretty cake. I like the yellow and orange. I would like to see less black . Butterflies are colorful. I would like to have seen some other colors used also, perhaps in filling in some of those outlined areas.
You can just melt it a little. 10-20 seconds in the microwave until it jiggles. And you have one soft/melty spot but the other buttercream still holds shape
Yes…they tastes moist after frozen and like they were just made. They usually thaw within 1-2 hours. I worked in a bakery for years and all our cakes/cupcakes were kept in a walk-in freezer until ready to frost and decorate upon customers orders. The only thing I would have done differently is use a hot knife to spread the black icing easier and smoother. You dip the knife in very hot water and clean the water off (the knife will still be hot) each time you spread a little icing dip the knife in hot water and clean the blade to keep the colors from running into each other. This will make it look smooth. Also you only want to just feather it meaning a very light swipe with the hot knife.
