- With XDefiant's launch next week we'll have a few videos going out to get us ready for what's all to come but today, in the meantime, we ended up getting official reveals from the XDefiant team about some topics that are near and dear to players hearts, things that drew a lot of people over to the interest of XDefiant in the first place. Today, we're taking a look at the information that was detailed that everyone wants to hear: Matchmaking and more. This matchmaking is perfect. Connection is literally the most important thing (no extra skill measurements), and then teams balanced by skill ranking in lobbies. Basically just like the OG Cods. The way it should be, and pretty sure what most people want to return to current Cods.
Edit: Cod would be so good if they just went back to the simplicity of this matchmaking.

looool its good until you realise kb&m players have whined and moaned so much about their email writer not being able to keep up with roller, that they have added it into matchmaking. how can i trick a matchmaking process by changing my input, all that means is they will filter rollers out of kb&m players lobbies loool. absolute dorks.

Making the weapons have their actual name is such a small detail but one I love. It’s a p90, not a pdsw528. Mp5-lachmann sub etc.
That is amazing because that takes licensing fees from the manufacturer of those firearms.
The potential for this game to be legendary is there. We will see. It all seems too good to be true but I’m excited.

Even though it doesn't on launch I played through it before it came out a bunch and the ttk is absolutely amazing you can cook them fast AF compared to cods ttk which you can see in this videos gameplay it's fast enough to still tickle the hardcore players fancy till a hardcore mode drops if the devs feel inclined to give us that

Things I didn't like and I won't mention net code, was the aiming and movement they need to add a much wider array of adjustments to make it feel like Cod/Apex I can't stand this movement and aiming it feels chunky, floaty and off centre, I always adjust FPS games to feel as close to what I'm used too but couldn't with this it felt like I was on a skateboard drunk at times

Man I’m so excited for this game. It’ll be fun going back to the “fun play styles. I can play casual, drink some brews, and mess around with friends. Then when we want to nerd out, we can hop into ranked modes and sweat our nuts off.
It sounds so familiar… almost like… CoD could be played that way in the past. Sad the game/publisher has lost its way.
Anyway, I’m just hoping netcode got a bit better since the latest beta. I don’t think they revealed any info pertaining to netcode since the latest beta? If they did, I didn’t see it.

Did you just say next week no fucking way, I played the test server which was a mess but that's the entire point of a test so hopefully the launch is smoother but I was not expecting it to launch until June

They confirmed SnD for season 1 I believe, but nothing about hardcore was mentioned

I completely forget this game was a thing, I thought it was forgotten and scrapped like most hyped up cod killers. I hope this game does very well
i have extremely mixed feelings about this game. on one hand its cool to see the arcady non sbmm riddled multiplayer coming back but at the same time how long is it gonna last? is it gonna be a continuously updated game to keep stuff fresh or is it gonna be a cod knockoff where its barely updated every 3 months. This game seems like it may get boring very fast without some sort of constant updates or changes

We need a team death match mode and a free for all mode. Also, we need more guns as well. I think the way we level our guns up should be a lot faster, in my opinion, but I'm enjoying the game. I just have to get used to the aiming on this game it's different from Call of duty
This is rly funny because all call of duty has to do is literally employ this matchmaking style(what they used to do)and they will get Thier players back. Its so fuckin obvious, yet they refuse to do it. Or actually acknowledge it at all lmaoo. This game excites me tho

Hope they don't get too much grief while things get ironed out and refined. They need the opportunity to dial things in. COD has years in the bag and still cocks it up regularly!!! So nice to hopefully have a viable new option 👍

I like everything I hear, except that ranked won't be input based, in past betas aim assist was crazy easy (verified it myself) and I know many mouse and keyboard players like myself really don't want to play with controller players. I remember one beta where I never (or almost never) saw any game where a controller player wasn't at the top of every team.. That's really my only big issue I want a solution to currently because everything else sounds great.

Ya tons of people are about to realize they aren’t actually that good and are average to below average and they aren’t dying to cheaters. At least I know I’m not amazing but can do well sniping so I’m average and sometimes above average. But these slide cancel etc people and gonna complain so much about cheaters aim assist PC players. When the reality is they aren’t that good and all they have to do is turn off crossplay and u might see a cheater once a week bc they all pretty much on PC. And even Xbox and PS been console banning people for the past few months for things like Cronus zen, mods, etc

Input based match making is already better then CODs system, mouse and keyboard shouldn't play against controller, of course the PC players who've got used to the advantage against console players wont like it.

i pre loaded the game rn and found out you can PLAY the traning zone if you on the ps5 go to the activities and click to play you go to the game and are able to test weapons etc... edit:i hope you see this Espresso

Yes, the last gen version was confirmed canceled before the server play test a while ago. It's not really a big deal anyways considering PS5's and Xbox Series X's are widely available.
