Every car manufacturer has wind tunnels, climate rooms, tracks, tests robots. It is just big and state-of-the-art. What is secret is not how they tests but what : new designs, new products, upgrades... If you are planning the new trendy design after SUV or a new electric plateforme you what to keep it secret until the last moment. Most tests track happen to be built in fly restricted areas. Secracy is juste the line in the industry.
