  • In this video we explore the San Haven Sanitarium in the Turtle Hills of North Dakota. Built in 1909 to help people suffering from the Kings Touch, White Death, Men of Death, but more commonly known as Tuberculosis. In the 1950's the buildings were converted over to a sanitarium. Until finally closing their doors permanently in 1987 where the last of a few patients were moved to neighboring hospitals.
This building has been sitting vacant now for over 30 years and it shows. From scrappers to vandals and severe natural decay. The building lays on the hill side surrounded by over grown trees and brush while slowly crumbling to the earth. Dangerous pit falls around every turn and collapsing bricks lay in old path ways that once guided patients, visitors and employees. Come along with as we venture through this building of the past.
