  • The process and method of adjusting and aligning the front and rear windows on a 1970 A Body GM car. This is the first time I did this alone. Before I would depend on my dad (car builder) to help me with projects like this. This time I wanted to launch out and try it alone with no help.
I wasn't able to cover all the details; however, I wanted to give a good overview of the process and steps it took. I did make a lot of mistakes off camera, but it's the knowledge and the experience gained that makes it worth it.

If I had someone on the outside and someone on the inside with the door closed, couldn't you loosen up most or all adjusting points, align the window, and then sung up the adjustments? Then, do fine tuning if needed, or should it only be adjusted one adjustment at a time? Thanks

What aftermarket glass did you go with?

Your vertical gap between door and quarter window is far too wide. Your also missing the blow out clips on the upper front door window corners, they keep the door glass from blowing out at highway speeds when window is fully up. Adjusting with these blowout clips in place is even more of a challenge, since the glass tucks behind them when closing the door with the window up, if window is too high, it will hit these clips, damage them and throw all you alignments back out, so you need to start all over .
