I am VERY happy for Lindy. I thought he was unfairly scapegoated when he was canned previously, and now he has the opportunity to "finish the job" and finally get us a Cup. That would be SO HUGE for a player and captain who was a Sabre from the beginningand who went on to coach his team. That said, I also feel badly for Donnie Granato. A truly good man and a good coach. He was instrumental in the development of many young players, and it's not an overstatement to say that he saved Tage Thompson's career and turned him into an NHL star. He also saved Rasmus Dahlin from spiraling down into a black hole when he struggled by showing unbridled confidence in him. But, unfortunately, he was "too nice" as if he were still coaching a junior USA team instead of realizing that his current players were now men who needed accountability and an outright @$$ kicking at times when they failed to follow his game plan. I hold those players just as responsible for letting "Donnie Meatballs" down (if not moreso), just as I hold Don Granato accountable for failing to recognize that he needed to clamp down on the players.
The Sabres best coach since.. well.. Lindy Ruff. WELCOME BACK COACH!!!! Get these kids disciplined!!
Lindy, let’s go win us a fucking cup 🦬
This is the way.

Granato is a bum
Agreed. I hope Granato learned from this and does well with a team like the Sharks or Blackhawks.
Is that Dylan and Peyton in the audience???
Welcome Back Lindy! Some changes will be required for sure. Can't wait to see the off season moves.
I want to see Scott Stevens back in the NHL as an Asst Coach! I can see him adding to the GRIT of this team and the defense for sure.
Toughness is the keyyy

Lindy ruff. Second coach sabres ❤ 1997-2013 2024-
It would have been nice if someone had said the goal was to win the Stanley Cup
You gotta make the playoffs first
I'm glad he's back but does it look like Lindy had a stroke? The left side of his face looks a bit droopy
Don't think so, just getting old man.
hes 64 not 44 man you get old. as long as he doesnt have dementia the sabres should be fine
