Thank you so much! I actually did this by accident tonight with the Kilima Highlands plot. So many neat ideas can come from the building-backwards technique you described. It is phenomenal. :)
It's a Harvest House, I use the "ghosting" method to remove the wall, basically there's a room there that is invisible & on another plot. But the method I know got fixed, I herd there's a new way to do it, didn't try it out yet. I personally don't like glitching stuff like this, I just wanted my tea house to have this because of how Japanese tea houses usually have a removable wall for summer :)
@@TheMercuryRev when connecting with a block that is inside the grid make sure you have the grid turned on so it snaps. Also do not sit with your character in the area where the block is supposed to go. If you need further help, feel free to join me on my discord channel 💜.
Did they fix this glitch or am I crazy? I can do everything you show, but once i flip the dock back over it wont disconnect from the pillar. I also cant make more than 3 floor squares stay connected without using alt.
@@donation4ya for me this one still works. To go out of bounds I mean. The blocks did definitely get more glitchy after the last patch. So not everything here might be very accurate now. Sadly 😭. I wanted to do a video for arches, and I couldn't build one anymore, will have to find a different solution.
@@stofleth7 you have to group select. On pc you hold down alt, on switch I don't know 😔. But you should have instructions on the screen how to group select.
Thank you so much this was exactly the confirmation I needed! I noticed how the building blocks reacted with each other and figured building backwards was worth a try. I was also struggling with blocks wanting to sit on top. Biggest problem is I was having a hard time visualizing how to move forward. You explained and demonstrated so well I am excited to give it another go 🫶🏽

Why doesnt this work for me... 😢 can place block in grid bit it doesnt let me connect the second one that is out of bounds...
