For context, Kiss Land’s theme revolves around a Japanese night life scene and a lot of glitch/digital art. The main color was like a aqua green/seafoam green. A lot of the writing for the art and merchandise was in Japanese and Abel used a tanuki as kind of the mascot. Lastly, the videos feature a lot of Asian people as well.
7:44 this album is indeed about him being in love with a stripper 😹

But... I agree with your position about him getting in love with a stripper, like... It's so beautiful and meaningful that you can't just take one thing as the meaning of those Weeknd videos.
But it's really beautiful the point that he's sharing his love for someone that's not for him, and he needs to recognizes it, someone that "Belong To The World".
A personal representation of mine is about the point that we're selfish, and we really can't have someone just for us, no people are domesticable like we always want, and we really, always want, that's our nature. We need to let people grow, we need to accept that this person that we love, this person belongs to the world... And that's what make us feel the pain, the pain that you see in Weeknd's face in this video, the pain of reality, the pain that is part of the acceptance that no one belongs to us.
