My favorite acoustic song ever. I remember when it came out trying to learn it in standard tuning, could never get it right, finally GP magazine tabbed it in the alternate tuning he uses and it's not a very difficult song to play. Having said that how in the world JP composed this in that odd tuning is simply mind blowing. And finally, to play it live in front of an orchestra like that flawlessly is another mind bender. Hard for me to say too much good about this composition.

One of the worst days of my life.....driving to work in an Ohio suburb, raining, Zeppelin tickets locked in my glove compartment and WMMS broke in the middle of a song that Bonzo (RIP) had died. I pulled off the road. As I watched many cars pass by, many pulled over. I knew we were connected at that nanosecond in time. No cellphones. Just pure intuition. I'm thankful I've been honored to see RP too many times to count. 2019 my husband and I saw him at The Mann in Philly. Mostly to gaze at a legend. Shocked at how very decent he still sounded. A great show! We didn't expect Zep tunes but we were blessed with 5. I cried through the Battle Of Evermore. We leave Tues to see him and Alison Krauss at Blossom in Ohio. I know it might be the last time. Him, us, who knows. More important issues in the world? Sure. To me? Not on the night to come, June 28, 2023. Thank God for my brothers who gave me the best music education. It's diverse. Generational years older than me but it's a cherished memory. I'm counting the days and happy to be going on a road trip. Younger somehow....

And now, suffering from Alzheimers, in a facility far from me...not recognizing anyone, not even her children, it's unbearable. All ya'll that are lucky enough to have your parents, siblings and any family and friends you love, alive and well, please say a special prayer tonight and every night, thanking God, the Universe or whatever you believe, for your time here on earth with them. I don’t like picking a favorite band because I love so much music but, I think if I had to choose a band that has spoken to me my whole life it would be Led Zeppelin. My father was a musician who played guitar and drums among his voice and he played a little keyboard too. Anyway he was my biggest and greatest musical influence on my life. He had an incredible music collection, he loved Zeppelin too. So I grew up with a lot of classic rock. I was a 10 year old kid listening to Zeppelin and Floyd and Beatles and just so many others. Too many to name. I’m 43 years old now and I suppose I can finally say that Led Zeppelin has gotten me through a lot of good and, a lot of hard times too. I’m going to go ahead and say yea they probably are my favorite band. 🖤🤘🏼🖤Thank You Jamal Aka Jamal for this video this song always gets me in the feels. It’s so beautiful. This song always makes me cry tears of joy.... I never got to see LZ but I had the pleasure of seeing Plant & Page twice approximately 1994-1995. Once for the Unledded tour at the old Boston Garden [with the Boston Symphony Orchestra], and then a handful of months later at the new Fleet Center [now TD Garden] which was a full on eclectric show. That 1st Unplugged show with the BSO is arguably the best show I have ever been to considering the history of the band, the Orchestra & the venue... I was about 21/22 yrs old at the time and just thinking about it now makes my eyes water... There was sooo much love and unity in that arena that night that it was palpable... 💯☮🎶♥️

I remember this listening to it. This song is what made me listen to more of them when I was a kid. Thank you for listening to it and bringing back my personal memories 💓 💖 💕. I believe this from early 90s under Page and Plant No Quarter. Just checked and yes 94 and I was working in my garage at 19 listening to this live on the radio broadcast of it.

In 1993, Jimmy Page released a successful album Coverdale.Page w/ Whitesnake singer David Coverdale... the same year Robert Plant's solo album 'Fate of nations' sold disappointingly. Apparently, there was some tensions between Page & Plant over the years, but I guess they decided in 1994 to put aside their differences and revisit their Led Zeppelin catalog w/ an 'Unledded' acoustic set for MTV that became a live CD under the Plant & Page moniker (Bassist John Paul Jones was not involved) and the duo played Zeppelin songs live in concert on tour in 1995.
In 1998, they released their only studio album 'Walking into Clarksdale' as Plant & Page... but whoever expected a Led Zeppelin album was sorely disappointed... Without Jones and the late John Bonham, it didn't sound like Zeppelin... After a tour, Robert Plant ended the collaboration in 1999 and returned to his solo work.
Today, Robert Plant admits that playing Zeppelin songs is demanding for his age, and it's also painful for him because every time he hears Zeppelin songs, he misses John Bonham... he's comfortable playing some Zeppelin songs by his solo band, but it took a long time for him to be comfortable w/ his past.
