During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I'm just glad that these small vans are in production, so that contractors, electricians, plumbers, small businesses, etc. can use them. Helps on fuel efficiency too :)

I got one of these as a company vehicle. I really wish mine had the block out panels instead of windows as mine has.
One thing I like about the 9 speed transmission is that when you are in stop and go traffic, the low gear is so low that I don't find myself having to tap the brake all the time to keep from running into the person in front of me. It doesn't seem to up shift to maximum gear without acceleration, which is nice.
I'm glad to see that you covered the Promaster City; ever since I sat in one at the NY Auto Show this year I practically fell in love with the things.
Great review it's nice for me to see the US version of the Doblo for someone like me who lives in Switzerland and only knows the Fiat.
By far best looking out of the smaller vans...

Excellent review. I like that you don't just review the more popular vehicles. great info. and views of the rear suspension. The only thing I would have added are views and info. of the front suspension, and type of control arms, steel or aluminum. and does it have a full or half front subframe, with views. but most reviewers barely even mention the suspension, or film it.

Since i used to drive my parents old 2004 Honda Odyssey EX-L, I now drive a 2015 Toyota Camry XSE 4 Cylinder, which the traded in the van for and i like it a lot but I also miss me van, but since I used to drive a minivan, I'm a big fan of vans and minivans.
Well it looks better than the Chevy City Express and Ford Transit Connect, that's for sure.
Does the Chevy city express replace both the gmc savana and express??
I like the design of the Transit Connect the best, but as far as the interior and overall, I like the Ram. The Chevy is obsolete, haha.

***** Yes I know you did Kyle :) But I'm not surprised at all that they do this. Fiat already have a good car for such a task as this one, so why not use in the US and maximize the profit while keeping the manufacture costs down, it's a good business from their point of view
LONE_WOLF That's a good point, I'm not sure on that one. Maybe the thought is that it'll be more accepted under the Ram name since it's a new product? I think it's pretty competitive and a great choice for the segment. If it were me, I'd be choosing between this or the transit connect.
***** I'm sure this could be the case as well since Americans are more likely to buy an "American" product, same as italians are more likely to buy a Fiat before a Dodge for example. Also from what I have heard Fiat dont have the best reputation in the US, So it would make sense to roll it out under the Ram brand.
Americans can't cope with European engineering, so every chance they get they try to steal it.

I'm actually looking at getting one of these as a daily driver. 100% of the ones my local Fiat-Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-RAM dealer sells end up in white, but I'm getting it in Broom Yellow, a classic Fiat color.

RAM and Fiat are collaborate on the RAM Promaster
It's interesting how a lot of American cars are now rebranded (albeit slightly altered) European models.
***** It's because Fiat owns Dodge, why would they design an entirely new car when they can just use one they already have? GM and Ford also have their own presence in the European market so the same thing can be said about them.

7.25' of length on the back floor. They made the inside wheel wells fit a 4' sheet of plywood, but couldn't give it another few inches of length to fit studs and sheet goods? Someone messed up.
Would love to know someone who has tested both the Doblo and Promaster to get an idea of the main differences is any at all. I am assuming that the Promaster would have a larger engine to accommodate the US market?
Also an interesting question as a European, does the Promaster come in a Diesel engine as I am also lead to believe the US market tend to prefer Petrol (gas)?

That is in fact a nearly perfect copy of the european Fiat Doblo, as well as the Promaster is a copy of the Peugeot Boxer/Citroën Jumper.
Paul Michel well yea since fiat owns chrysler they are bringing their euro work vans over here badged as rams because that its the workhorse brand of chrysler. since its fiat the big promaster is the ducato

Because it isn't a Doblo, powertrain, frame and suspension have been completely reworked for the Postmaster city. The only thing they really have in common is body styling and interior.

Wrong. In North America its called Ram ProMaster City. In Europe Fiat Doblo. Also Vauxhall/Opel Combi
this van is made by ram which is Chrysler a competitor to General Motors, in England this van is sold as a Vauxhall Combo which is General Motors and the Vauxhall is sold with Chrysler engines. I am quite confused as to why it is both a Chrysler and a GM vehicle, not complaining its a pretty van just thought I'd mention this little titbit

Since this is a cargo vehicle I´m a bit confused that there is no seperation between the driver and cargo space. In case of a front crash that could mean cargo can easily cause injuries
