I love we start out not really liking Oona, thinking she won't really care about Bean and is just trying to replace her dead mom but she actually tries hard to bond with Bean and listens to her problems etc. She becomes one of the best characters in the show haha.
I like that they're now showing that Oona is actually a really great parent (besides from sharing drugs with her daughter and all) Season 1 Bean hated her and she was built up to be the villain of the show/typical evil stepmom or fighting with the king, which lead us to not to really see her more postive side that much. In season 2 her named was cleared but she was missing for most of the story. So we didn't get to see her and Bean interact that much. But in Season 3 I really feel like we're finally seeing the she's Beans "true" mom who really dose love her as her own daughter. Dagmar may be her biological mother, but Oona is her real mom.

My partner sometimes jokingly calls me his children’s “step-lizard” because of Oona. We’re not married and likely will never get married. His children are almost adults or half way there. But we’ve been together a while now. I’m really happy with the dynamic we share. Even though separation is really difficult on families, and it took awhile for a deeper relationship to form, his children have always been open to and accepting of me. I whole heartedly agree we need more positive representations of these kinds of relationships.
