The Qatar First Class cabin is functional, not frilly, the way Emirates does it.
Also, I remember transiting in Doha. Honestly, you can see the heat even if you stay inside the terminal!

I flew Qatar from Manila to Doha enroute to Kilimanjaro International but we had a medical emergency landing in Mumbai and missed our connecting flight! The airline booked my mom, sibling and I at the Orryx Airport Hotel. Nice hotel actually. Also Hammad International isn't too bad an airport to get stuck in or have a layover.
I flew into Doha in Qsuites on monday and was standing in line for 30 minutes before I saw that lounge for customs. after I saw it I was outside with my bags in less than 5 minutes 😅 I also had a great experience with the people there. everyone is very polite and always smiling 🙂 looking forward to the race weekend 😃

Just came back from Dubai where the weather was the same. I honestly feel bad for the drivers having to race in that sauna.
They’re getting paid millions and their athletes it’s something they gotta deal with. I’m a driver myself and it’s difficult

Great review Kym and I have to agree on the Qsuites. We flew home with them recently from London to Melbourne and were fortunate to do the A380 BC to Doha and the Qsuites from Doha to Melbourne and I have to say, the suites are just something else. Having not flown first before, I just couldn't imagine needing anything more than what the Qsuites offer for long haul flights, they're just incredible.
Though, the only thing I think I'd appreciate being in FC is the extra leg room as being 6'4", the space at the end of the bed is limited!
Flying Finnair tomorrow and their seat gets rave reviews. Let's see how it goes
Great video. I was really curious to see this as I fly Qatar business from Manchester UK to Cape Town via Doha most months, almost always in their Q-suites. It's hard to imagine how the Q-suite experience can be improved upon and I have to say, having watched your video, I'm struggling to see much of a difference between first and Q-suite, aside from the bar and fancy toilet, and maybe a few differences in the menu. Although, yes, my legs do touch the end of the bed in a Q-suite! Hope all goes well shooting out in Qatar. I'm actually transiting through Doha on Saturday so will hopefully catch the sprint race from the lounge!

Kim - you could try Qantas 9/10 Perth-Heathrow for the Silverstone race (in regards to your direct flight comment)... but doubt you'd want to venture back home during the busy Europe schedule. Could be a cool review on a 17 hour flight though!
True, but he doesn't go home between all the Euro races.
I hate the Qantas business class seat with a passion. I hope the new seat which I believe is due in 2025 is a big step up.

Just try once business class, on a short flight. After u done it once, ur mind will automatically start thinking a LOT more on how to keep getting that - how to earn more. You'll get there!

These folks dont seem to care about all the exploited migrant workers who live lives as indentured slaves, trapped and unable to return home. These migrant workers build their airports, roads, buildings, etc. And the petrostate dictators spend less on labour cost, and charge a premium for their services, pocketing as much money to themselves and their royal families. Disgusting.
Prioritize travel over luxury. Luxury will follow.

I feel that this product is below par on the A380. My flight was good but the tv controls and content were dated. The content was also moderated significantly. My connecting flight to the Uk on the Dreamliner provided a far better entertainment system. Bed was exceptionally comfortable I would agree and crew were fantastic

I am flying to Perth Australia in Nov I would love to be able to upgrade to business class if there are any freebie’s I flew to Australia in Feb of this year and I couldn’t of flaunted the airline people so so lovely but first time flying myself all the way from Edinburgh Scotland was a nightmare for me
Greetings from Thailand used Qatar to doha in Dec 2018 was OK but can't afford first class usually use emerites Qatar just as good I would say bit emerites have air bus 380 all the time uk dubi and dubi to Bangkok 🎉🎉

I don’t know how you handle all those multi-time zone flights week after week even in 1st class because even if I’m able to do two trans Atlantic flights a year from Canada , my body physically is a total mess for 2 days on both continents..

To really answer the question posed in the title., we would need to know how much an economy seat would have cost, then we'd be able to assess whether the x thousand dollars difference is justified for a seat which arrives in Qatar at the same time as the cheap ones.

Qatar offers a far classier offering than Emirates and the bar on those A380s is the best in the air, definitely worth opting for the A380 where possible.

A BankWest MasterCard and an AMEX silver card
Fun fact: Kym is wrong about there being no alcohol in DOH. I asked an attendant where the alcohol was and he told me that it was behind a curtain as there was a religious holiday so they block the alcohol, and pointed to it, but said he would be uncomfortable taking me there as locals didn't want to be seen there. I walked to the curtain, went behind it and there was a full alcohol section. This was last year so I guess it could have changed.

Q-suites was the worst business experience for me. Seat, well actually, the flat bed was so worn out that I couldn't sleep because of the pain it caused on my pelvis. It was like laying on a metal table. Terrible. Regular business was very comfy tho.

@@Psychphuq Sure. NYC to London 6 hours. 5 hour time difference. I have never been very far west of the Mississippi or east of Vienna. I just thought it was strange.

Another example - it's circa a 12 h flight from Copenhagen to Cape Town, but there is to time difference.

I Lasted nine days
I will be flying Business Class to London from Doha, Ticketing staff have been awful, totally arrogant. Out of all the top airlines I've flown on Business Class, Qatar Airway is the only airline which doesnt give you lounge access at the airports on promotional fares on Business class. Thats total cheating and a cheap trick. My advice to fellow passengers is to check FULL terms and conditions before booking, its very vague.
My husband and me we are not supporting homophobic airlines/countries. Such as Qatar. This airline will scrap First class completely. Champagne and caviar very good. ..just like this vid.
I always prefer Air France La Premiere First class. For Justin and me that is the hallmark of inflight service.
Japan Airlines, Cathay, Air France etc. will introduce their new First class products...we are looking forward to that.
By the way. On the Q-suite there is no caviar or vintage champagne on offer. Only average food. And think about the working conditions of the F/A`s. Especially if you are gay. Thnx
