I have been super nostalgic for the LEGO Indiana Jones sets that I grew up with, so in today's video, we're going to review the old LEGO Indiana Jones set 7627 TEMPLE OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL that originally came out in 2008!

I hope so. These older sets are extremely expensive just because they haven’t brought it back. You would think that they would because they brought back LEGO Batman in 2012 because so many people wanted it, and an immense amount of people want Indiana Jones back.

You must not have built it correctly, the opening play feature at the top is very strong and doesn't break off. And the dragon heads had skulls that you put under the mouths, the instructions said so.
The crystal skull also came with the graveyard set from the movie

Actually, the cemetery set came with a single Crystal Skull that was hidden behind a conquistador skeleton. That’s how I got my single crystal skull piece. Also, that same exact large baseplate piece was used in the Pharaoh’s Quest Pyramid set.
Same with the peril in Peru plane set, I have one as well
I remember those dragon heads dropping either grey cylinders or skulls that sit under the mouths! Good memories of this set ☺️

this is a pretty rare use of a raised baseplate in 2008, but looking at this video, it's covered in wonky stickers rather than being printed like the classic raised baseplates..

The Crystal Skull piece is in the Cemetery Battle set too, not just the Temple.
This was my first big set, and I did everything so, so, so wrong. I knew nothing about Lego packaging at the time, because I was used to all my sets, the little ones, coming in one bag. So I took all the bags, and ripped them open without going by the numbers. It took forever to build, and even then it wasn't 100% right.
I built this the other day and the top part connected to the booby trap works perfectly. When lowered the swords fall down like intended. Great set!

Lego did a good job at expanding the perceived value of their sets back then. Things look bigger, but they're not nearly as dense as they are now. So much more detail packed into sets these days. I am happy with the trade off
I look forward to seeing this set getting the remake it deserves
This was my first Lego set, I still have the base and I customized that over the years but the entire set spare parts as for half of the Minifigures (Indiana Jones, Mutt, Irina, Russian guy,) I lost them a long time ago and it's something that's always ticked me off cause I loved playing with them and I have memories of the full set and mucking about with them I wish I could get them back.
I would love to get this set.

This set is cool, but I personally prefer the very similar Scorpion Pyramid from around the same time (it’s a set from the Pharaoh’s Quest line)

Im buying this next week from bricklink ive wanted indiana jones sets since i was still small and getting the biggest indiana jones set as my first really is exciting. Also sorry if i have any mistakes in my writing because english isnt my main language.
You can put that wierd archway at the top of the falling stairs, I believe there is pictures of that in the instructions

Crystal skull is completely misunderstood by most. It’s a great film over all and is my 3rd favorite. Batman is still Batman at the age of 55 in the dark knight returns, this movie is Indiana joneses dark knight returns. What we can both agree on and s how amazing this set truly is.

Uh Indiana Jones has a single poly bag for the entire theme-4:53 it was a Jeep minibuild, I really love Kingdom of the crystal skull it was the second Indy movie I watched and I was completely blown away!

he meant used. Lego sets that have been on the market for so long are always 3 times more expensive. I got an ovp set a few years ago for $ 180 and then sold it for $ 300, you can make good money with it

because the set is worth ~ 300$ ovp. when you open it, the samler value drops significantly. After all, it has been off the market for 9 years.
