When he drags the threshold dot to the bottom left, what is the difference if he just dragged it straight down? I always been dragging it straight down but this guy is dragging it bottom left
Fruity Limiter also has RMS compression. The sustain knob controls the window, so any sustain value above 0 is RMS. Linear phase mode in maximus also won't deal with intersample peaks. The reason why you get lower peaks with linear phase filters is because you are preserving the phase relationship with the band splits
Good one with the Limiter Compressor Sustain, I realized that after recording. Inter-sample peaking isn't something we can fight, but only with the linear phase we can just make sure that the ceiling we set in the saturation is actually keeping the true peak. That's what I meant.

Really great tool. I think Maximus should be updated to new 5or7 bands ver. 3bands is not enough. And needs all band pre-input, LR mode, MS saturation, easier on-off comparison button, some view-options too... :)

If you were to pull down the nodes at the top would that change the various settings on the compressor to give you more compression? Likewise, would raising the nodes at the bottom be equivalent to expansion?

Every time you go above 0 (0dBFS) on the Maximus graph, you are Expanding. I don't understand how the middle point is at 0dBFS and you can't zoom. And that it only shows up to -18dBFS, there is a lot of information to work with. Maximus is not very good for learning how to use a compressor, better start with MCompressor from MeldaProduction, at least with the parametric part and with the manual edition of the curve, it's funny that you say that Maximus is very precise...
I can't find out the difference between the two saturation types. Even the official manual just says "left is type A. Right is type B" but doesn't say what the difference is. I searched Google with multiple advanced searches and can't find anybody else even asking the question on any forum

I've got a great sounding interface but It's have a problem It's make a high-mid increase so now I now where maximus is the most helpful...
