  • If Evolution were true, life would have to arise at some point from non living material. How did life first appear on Earth? Is it even scientifically possible?
There is no bigger problem for the theory of evolution than the first appearance of life.
We will look at all the problems with spontaneous generation and chemical evolution. There is proof positive that it could never happen!

There is currently no scientific theory that explains the origin of life. There are a few hypotheses like panspermia and abiogenesis, but they are really more like thought experiments, and in no way rise to the level of scientific theory. The answer from science to the question of the origin of life is "We don't know", or perhaps "We don't know yet".
Note that Darwin's theory only explains life's *diversity* and not its *origin*. Hence, the first appearance of life is not a "problem for the theory of evolution" as you say, but is in fact entirely irrelevant to it.
