Interesting . The geni sounded quite loud . For years we had a push button geni in our horse lorry . It was underslung in a sound proof box in the lorry . Inside the living we had a control box that we used to push the button and the geni would start . We used to use it to charge the leisure and vehicle battery with it. Was expensive . Over 4k for the geni .
Thank you, from a distance of 7m the noise level was a lot quieter than a general petrol generator, it’s only that we filmed it up close
A sound proof box ( baffle box) would make a massive difference, and a bonus that it’s way under that price range

Just buy a Honda inverter generator, a lot cheaper and are proven to last for years. 🤷🏻♂️👍🏼

I do try and be a good boy 😂😂the idea of the generator is to take it in the middle of nowhere and charge all the power banks up which will then last us all week 👍

Just a thought when.your motorhome.is.on.hook up, does it charge the batteries? I know you generate power off the solar but as.you.said.weather.dictates, but i.did.wonder if you could hook the motorhome up to.something like this and be able to recharge say.a power bank.or the battery

I think that is an amazing bit of kit. But..... you have something like £4k of kit there and even when it comes to off grid camping it will be a long time before it's going to start saving money.

I run 2 delta pro’s with 2 extra batteries each, 2 smart dual fuel generators, 220 doubler hub, and the smart home panel with 3000 watts of panels. I Supplement my grid power with it and It runs the entire house minus central air when then grid is down. I have two 8000btu inverter windows ac’s that will keep our living room and bedroom cool. Don’t get me wrong the system will start and run the central air but the power consumption isn’t worth it. With the generator and max solar input I can push over 3000watts into the delta pro’s and extra batteries.
We can take one set of the delta pro’s with extra batteries and smart gen with us when camping in our fifth wheel. We also have 2400 watts of Ecoflow 400w folding solar panels.

So it charged 4kw hours of power banks for £3 is that right ?
This is what I know for a fact I ran the generator for 2 hours 10 minutes the I took the gas bottle back to have it refilled and it took 2.8 litres to refill

I’m always interested in anything like this to see if there’s a cheaper way to use electricity but this really doesn’t work out.
2.8 litres of lpg @ 79p litre = £2.21 divided by 4 gives you a cost per kWh of 55p per kWh (not including losses) available Uk electricity from the grid is currently 29 per kWh (I have a tariff where I can get electricity at 7.5p per kwn between 11.30 and 5.30 each day) So I see this as a lot more effort to pay nearly twice as much for electricity.
Sorry to be critical I love your reviews but I can’t make this make sense.
@motorhomemark very true, but, we don’t have overnight cheap tariff, and our normal tariff is a lot higher than yours at our static
We’re a a tad upset with #EcoFlow at the moment wouldn’t at the moment buy anything of them.

@@RobandLynnontour Bought the delta 2 at end of July went to Europe near enough straight away and struggled to charge it on 12v thought it was us 🤷🏻♀️ got to Italy in September could charge it 240 v but that was all. Contacted Ecoflow many emails and videos exchanged for them to say it was the 12v lead ok send us one they couldn’t do that had to wait till we were back in uk and notify them so that was November new lead sent tested still doesn’t work !! Since then have been waiting to find out what they’re going to do won’t replace it as you only get first month for that ! So there going to collect and fix it ok when 🤷🏻♀️ took a whole week for them to reply with the details of collection and was told to be patient as they had been busy with increased emails, and they couldn’t reply to us seemingly even though I asked a few times as to why I hadn’t heard I wasn’t deemed to be important enough as they had new emails again told to be patient. Was told Thursday collection Monday but have no idea when and what I need to do to have it ready as yet just told be patient and they apologise all the time but as far as I’m concerned there customer services are c@@p Since September to December and still on going. They have said we will have it back for Christmas but we will have to wait and see. But they did wish us Merry Christmas 😂 Sorry for the whinge but at the moment there not our favourite company Xx

Sorry we generally enjoy your vlogs but this kit is irrelevant to the average motorhomer in our opinion. It’s a huge outlay for what benefit? We hate generators on campsites where you want peace and quiet to relax. Maybe Ecoflow will send you a nuclear power station next 😂

Hi Tim Norton...I suppose the common denomination is that it works on Safefill gas ⛽ which a lot of us have ..As you probably know safefill gas can work out cheaper than town Gas...However it may be cheaper for him as he has by his electricity from the Caravan site owner...!! Where the rest of us can procure our energy direct... I doubt he will work out the cost per kWh...add on the mileage cost of collecting the propane gas. And so on
