I had stopped playing chess for awhile and used to be a solid 1500 but now I am hovering around 1350. I believe it is because it is easier than ever to learn from higher players like you. I am stronger than before as a player but my rating is going the WRONG WAY!!!

Or maybe there are some many cheaters now that online chess doesn't make sense anymore
Just focus on your chess basics. Like open files for rooks.
Diagonal for bishops.
Possible central outpost for knights
Free space for queen+ do not castle right away

Pawn pushers are easy to beat just find the weak squares they abandon with pushing pawns and use it to your advantage
