Grew up in Tampa, was a big mafia hangout, would dress properly for dinner. Malio's was another mafia hangout, they have since moved downtown. Bern's steakhouse is also very famous. If you are back in Tampa go by Alessi Bakery, it's between the airport and downtown/Ybor, get a box of Scachatta. Tampa is a little foodie haven if you know where to look.

@@SmokyMtFaithFoodFun Alessi also has great Cuban sandwiches and Brazo Gitano, along with cookies, cannoli, etc. I'm not sure where the best place to get deviled crabs is, but they are a Tampa staple.
