    Find something to use as a turntable and get a light bulb. Turn the coin on the turntable very slowly and check to see that all the Fields are Cartwheeling. Examine any parts where Cartwheel is weak or nonexistent; determine why. Check those Cheeks and that Phrygian Cap for a Snowy Finish.

    Grandma’s old 1921-D Morgan Dollar looks to be nicely detailed as perhaps an XF-AU, however it certainly appears to me to have been cleaned at some time in the past. Have you shown it to other knowledgeable collectors with decades of experience or to any dealers ? I believe you might be offered a wholesale price of $22.00-$24.00 for such an example.

    It’s not as good as you think it is it looks worn out… no luster looks cleaned… only the D mint mark makes it more valuable…
