I can still remember watching this in the theater with my Mom when I was about 8 years old. About a year before we saw Mary Poppins. I never watch Poppins now, but still watch & love The Sound of Music.

The Sound of Music is still one of my favorite movie musical. Since this broadcast, we lost two of the "Von Trapp Kids", Charmain Carr (Liesel) and Heather Menzi Ulrich (Louisa ) and I believe Christopher Plummer (the Captain ) are no longer alive.
