Loni’s story is so inspirational.
Go for you, Loni!!!! Never live up to what some people's expectations just be yourself authentic self.
Loni’s story is even deeper when you consider the pressure black ppl put on each other to keep a good job with benefits, instead of chasing “some dream” that doesn’t pay the bills.
Also, Adrienne is so right. I got my drivers license at 29 and I was having nightmares about driving.
Agreed! I didn’t get my license until this year at 31. It plagued me for years but God set me free!!! Now I am happily and safely driving :)
Adrienne, I was the same way. Trust me when you become a mom you will get over that fear real quick :)
It's true
😂😂🙌🏾
Im 35 living in florida and never learned how to drive
Oh my God, I have thought that I was the only chick that can't drive. Damn, I think that I need to learn asap!!!!
Well she got a husband that can drive
I remember the first time....
I got paid for doing a voice over gig. So much fun, I loved it.💋
How did you get into it? I've been thinking about it
Wow! I’ve always wanted to get into that. How’d you do it?
How did you come across your first gig? Was it something you wanted and actively pursued or did an opportunity fall in your lap? Thanks
cool!
garcelle yes 😭😭 sis ate
YES
I was so scared of driving that I didn't get my license until after I was married and was 8 months pregnant for the reason Adrienne says she wants to learn - for my child. Doing it and driving is what took the fear away for me.
Me to I start driving at 30
@@naomiwilliams1310 me too 😬
Awww
This is probably a reason why so many are bad drivers🙄
Loni talks about this in her book . Must read!
She's one wise woman
If he wanted her to pay for 1/2, he should've made that clear from the door - esp. if he invited HER. SMH.....
I will never get tired of hearing Loni's story
The comments here about Adrienne are mean. It's okay to not know how to drive as an adult. Everybody starts things at there own pace. Some early, some later in life. People just have anxiety and phobias about driving and that's fine.
Some people go there whole lives without ever getting there high school diploma or GED. That's something we should really encourage everyone to be doing.
True, I’m 33 and don’t drive. I have anxiety and due to a car accident I experienced years ago, I get panic attacks when I’m behind the wheel.
I thinks very mature to not drive when you KNOW it gives you anxiety
I live in a city with fantastic public transportation and in an area where there's never any parking. It was never a necessity for me but I still feel like I have to defend myself whenever the question of a license or car comes up. I would like to learn one day but I'm in no rush.
Nobody is being mean to her😂 they all seem to be praising her or saying her story is inspiring of some sort lol
I agree with Adrienne the longer you wait the more scared you get and it does not have to be about just driving.
I'm from London, in my 30s, and can't drive either. I feel you, Adrienne. I want to learn one day.
Ugh, I did the same thing Garcell did, but it wasn’t our 1st date , the guy to me to a gross diner, then asked me to answer a riddle if I can’t guess it correctly I should pay the next date! I’m like it’s ok boo boo I’ll pay the $25 bill this date 😩! Never again will I save a dusty
A gentleman should always cover the check on the first date.
I really don’t understand that logic if it’s a first date the check should be split
I'm a guy and I agree. I've only ever split the check because it was my birthday
@@j.cutrone Nah you either your girl ain’t a real girlfriend or your insecure as a man ! No real girlfriend is letting there man pay on there birthday EVER!! Mine would never she’d catch an attitude and lmk rq if I even try to reach for the bill on my birthday
Aren't yu the same people that want equality 🤣🤣yu feminist make me laugh yu want equality when it only suits yu feminism is fake⚰️
And a lady should do what?
Garcelle really be finding these men in the dumpster.. 😂
Exactly
tickled
Adrienne is me when it comes to driving alone on freeway
Adrienne, you have my sympathies. Driving is scary. I am a Brooklynite who learned to drive in my 20s. Hated it then, hate it still. I don't own a car and don't live in New York City. I hope to never be forced to drive because I would be petrified.
Amen! I’m not a New Yorker and I do own a car but I still hate having to drive. I do it only out of necessity and if I could have someone do it for me I would. That being said I’m proud of myself for learning how to drive despite my fears. Cuz more than driving I hate the idea of being stranded.
@@ROMUDEAR 😄😄 I hear that!!
Same here! I have my permit and that’s good enough for me I don’t want to drive it’s too scary for me.
Im 35 living in florida and never learned how to drive
I'm 27 and don't drive. I probably will save up for a car and drive in a few years. It is scary!
I'm 21 and from New York like Adrienne and can barely drive either. This motivates me to get my drivers licenses this summer. (However in NYC it's common for teenagers and even adults to not know how to drive. Only a few of my friends actually have licenses 😭)
Im 35 living in florida and never learned how to drive
Come to LA and you’ll learn well haha
I am the opposite of you. All of my friends know how to drive. I was born and raised in NYC as soon as I was eligible to get a learner's permit, then my driver's license I did it. I cannot actually think of any of my friends that do not know how to drive. I think it depends on where in NYC you live.
But why??? People dont drive at all there
I'm now,60yrs old have a license never Drive.just make up my mind to do it now.
Adrienne literally looks like a baby doll, so cute. Love this Convo, all great points.
Garcelle "...let me know when you're on the road..." I'm ded!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😊 Ikr
Well, i did step out of my comfort zone in 2020 when i faced 200 people in a public speaking competition.
Before that, i was the most timid, shy person ever, i can't believe how different i am from the person i was 2 years ago.
How did you do that.
@@Nancyes77777 i just tried it, i didn't think of the outcome in a negative way, i was like, I'll give it a try and whatever happens happens, my fear just disappeared after that.
They say the best way to get over your phobia is to expose yourself to it more.
PS: I'm not sure if this works on all kinds of phobias.
29 and learning to drive. Been learning for almost a year (if you don’t count the time I learned with a stick when I was 18). I put up a front for others like it doesn’t bother me at all, and for the most part it doesn’t, but some times it does. I’m not giving up on building my confidence on the road though. Thanks for sharing Adrienne. It’s always good to be reminded I’m not alone in this driving anxiety.
It’s insane how much Ade and I are the same in things. The Hashimoto part the driving part, the panic attacks, being family oriented. I really appreciate that she shared the driving part, it’s my insecurity at the moment really want to get rid of the fear.
I encourage you. I just learned at age thirty three and I'm thirty five now. I wanted to finally do it because i was getting married and moving to a new city and my husband was"nt going to always be around to drive me everywhere. Back where i used to live I always caught rides with my family, but obviously I had to leave them behind. So my sweet upper aged dad taught me again one final time LOL, and i was determined to keep going. You can too!!! I pray for you.
@@Denise-ob8dk Wow, our stories are actually the same. Also turning 35 this year and feel very ashamed that I still need family members to drive me around or take the bus (will take forever compared to a car) now living in another city with my husband and I feel that something needs to change..need to feel that independence. Driving is freedom, hope that I can get over that huge fear and just do it. Thank you so much for sharing your story, that’s very brave of you. Bless your dad! 🙏🏼💕 makes me feel less alone.
@@Sarah-zg2iq Awwww you're welcome!
loni looks BEAUTIFUL as usual
I can relate to Adrienne. I used to drive, but I have developed a fear of driving now.
What happened
@@nanaabenadarkowaah1800 I have been in several accidents, in which I wasn't the driver, but it has traumatized me. I have driven since then, but I'm still not comfortable.
@@lynnc.8110 very sorry you had to experience such things.
I hope you continue to be safe💕💕
And it's good you are not in a rush. You are doing well
@@nanaabenadarkowaah1800 Thank you so much!❤
@@lynnc.8110 I can definitely relate. Phoenix drivers are scary!! Literally 2 non fault accidents in 2 years. That definitely traumatized me. I still get anxiety when I drive. The only way to get over that trauma is to find your confidence in driving again, by driving.
Adrienne my Sister is 35 and she just got a car about 6 months ago and is now doing very well. Even though some of her friends taught her how to drive earlier, she couldn’t really drive well until she got her own car. So you can do it, you think you’re late because in America even some 16 year olds drive which isn’t normal where I am.
Damn, I love this show. I watch it on CZcams every day. I will miss it alot. Wish it weren't ending 😭
I feel the same. I love it so much. I am from Bulgaria and I have watched it since the first season. I love this current season the most because they discuss deeper topics in a sincere, wise way.
I will miss you
I have been following you on Romania on youtube for many years.
I learned a lot from you, but especially about people, diversity, racism, etc. (there are not many blacks, Asians, Hispanics people . in Romania)
Thank you for everything and I will miss you very much 😭💜💜
I really love this episode. They are showing a positive attitude and I learned a lot from them. ^-^
That’s my mom. She’s 64 and doesn’t know how to drive. She will tell you how to drive from the passenger seat 🙄 but when she gets behind the wheel she has so much anxiety.
Don’t split the check, pay for your own meal & then never see him again!
That’s pretty much what the guy was saying 😂😂😂😂
She was a boss and paid for them both lol
Paying for your own meal is splitting the check…
That part!
@@ck1098 Right lmaoo
Such a great segment! We learned so much from you ladies! 👏🏽💯 thank you for sharing 👏🏽
I think whoever asks who out first for a date should pay. If it’s a mutual thing before hand and you two are talking about meeting up and picking/planning where together then it makes sense to split. But if someone asks you on a date you shouldn’t have to pay cause.. you asked me.. lol
Exactly I agree
stop being cheap why can’t you pay for your diner that you ate !!!!!!!
@@jayjay-xx4zf don't be cheap and invite someone out to eat when you don't have money to pay for their meal.

I just got my drivers License 2 months ago, I also regret not having it sooner but at least I am Licensed now
Loving this milk chocolate makeup palette on Loni...not only that she inspires me...love her story.
Lol not the milk chocolate makeup palette thing😂😄 lmaoo funny is that even a thing hahahaha🤦🏽♀🤣😆😅
For the sake of saving money, I did not want to buy a smart phone. The day I got lost in the middle of nowhere (Thanks God my mom is a living navigation system and she helped me get home), I learned my lesson and purchased a modern cell phone the next day, lol!
I feel that
I normally don’t keep my phone charged as priority but I learned real quick when it died and I didn’t know where i was and needed google maps
The way Adrienne feels about driving is the way I feel about dating and sex.
Me too
Ask me out, you pay
I ask you out, I pay
Garcelle has grown on me sooooo much Gina miss the show ahhhhhhhcccc 💔
I relate to Adrienne's story 💯
loni, thank you for sharing! so amazing
Loni is the friend we all need❤
Loni’s face drop and the silence 😂😂😂
Loving your shoe Adrienne
Loni your makeup is on point today girl
Awe… I’m going to miss these ladies , their stories and much it related.
Driving is essential anywhere you are. You might not use it but you want to make sure you're always self sufficient in case of an emergency
There are other forms/modes of transportation. There's Uber, lyft, taxis, public transportation, bikes. You don't have to be a driver, and honestly a lot of people on the road should have their license revoked, because they are dangerous drivers. Not to mention the car accidents, people getting shot on the freeway out of road rage ect...did you forget gas prices. I don't think I'd turn my nose up at Adrienne for not being a driver. Anyway, my reaction is the same Garcelle😂. I don't know what sparked this mentality today, but I'm not going dutch or covering the check for no one. If money is an issue before you barely even get a first date, then you shouldn't be trying to wine, dine and date someone. The point of that process is to get to know that person and their moral character/personality over time. Not this weird social mentality that social media seems to be promoting and projecting. And it's totally ok to take yourself out to eat and fill yourself up. It doesn't have to revolve around being social or a relationship.
Garcelle saying he is probably still single. Girl. You are still single! 😂 (I am too but whatever lol)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭
😂😂😂
But she got married before though lol but true true
Right! She looked straight at the camera and said that. Umm Garcelle you're single too, love!! 😂💯 And not taking up for him, but even if he is still single, that doesn't necessarily mean he's miserable about it. Lol. People say that like singleness is a disease or something.
but she was married. She means hes still single and never married.
Adriennes driving story is so relatable. I didn’t get my license until I was 24 and where I am in Canada EVERYONE has their license by 17 🥴 I was so scared by the time I was driving and my mom said to me “it’s because you waited so long” witch I agree with. When your young your a lot less scared of things as we get older and hear about more tragic incidents we get scared. I’m now almost 27 and I’m a fully comfortable driver and better parallel parker than half the people I know who have been driving for years 😌.. but the only way to push past fear and anxiety from driving is to drive 😅 unfortunately 😂…
My son is 14 and I already have him behind the wheel. Lol. My daughter was 15-16 when I put her behind the wheel
Ohh Garcelle......she is sooo smart!
Met this guy online, we were chatting for over a year; rarely though. I wasn't feeling him, he was not my type at all, yet I was polite until he said he was coming down to my town with his friends and they wanted to go to an amusement park. He said it would be nice to see me and I agreed. He called me numerous times to remind me to purchase ticket online, I said I wiĺl and I did. The day before we were meant to meet, he buzzed me like crazy whilst I was at work, saying did you purchase your ticket or are you trying to flip one on me, so I pay for you! Oh boy did I lose it. Told him to f off and not call me again.
This show....always making us think! 👏👏👏
Lonnie stories are always the best
Lol what happened to Garselle just happened to me. He asked to go out for dinner and then I had to pay for myself. Like…
Run and don’t look back 🏃🏽♀️ 🏃🏽♀️😅😅
An adult had to pay for their self, wow that's just terrible I can't believe you went through that, I mean they should put that guy in jail..
@@JDMHaze lmao shut up. I’m actually broke at the moment. I’m putting all my energy into my studies, so I’m not working. So yeah. It kinda bothered me.
@@MuusiicRafael Who's fault is it that you're broke? It's not his fault so you're mad at someone for not paying because you're broke? Are you serious? Do you know how entitled you sound. And if you know you are broke you should've asked, I've literally had girls tell me they didn't have money to go out, and then I told them I'll handle it,, So if you know you're broke you should've clarified. Or you should've mentioned you were broke to begin with,Not knocking you for being broke, things happen but you can knock someone else for you being broke and make it their fault that you had to come out of pocket when you didn't clarify
@@JDMHaze fair enough 🙊
Am I the only one who doesn’t think Garcelle’s first date asking to split the bill is a big deal. 🤔
They were probably both super young n broke 🤷🏽♀️
Yah! I am old fashioned so i do expect the man to pay but these people are so modern on all other aspects then why make a big deal out of this?
Why would you ask someone on a date and not pay for it? Its like common sense rule #1 of dating. She could have went out to eat by herself, what was the point of him asking her out. It’s odd.
I’m from NYC too and I didn’t drive until I moved out of the city in my mid-20s. Now that I’m a driver, I really side-eye tf out of anyone who doesn’t know how to drive, who takes pride in not knowing how to drive, and who is unwilling to learn to drive. It is one of the most necessary skills that you could ever need in your life!! I’m going on a roadtrip with some of my friends from NYC next month and I’m the only one who knows how to drive. I told them best of luck because if I get a migraine and can’t drive, we’ll all be trapped here since none of them can help with the driving.
No one needs to learn how to drive if they don’t want to. Good for you though do what you need to to do.

Adrienne's ice blue coordinated her winter white. Garcelle's green is the complementary color for pink. Coincidence? I think not. We've heard each of their stories before.
