- Finally, the WRC 2020 started with the Monte-Carlo Rallye, we are close to Gap, in the French Alps and this is the Comparative Video (virtual as a spectator) between Sébastien Ogier vs Sébastien Loeb. Altogether, these two pilots have won 15 World Rally Championships! Crazy! I've filmed during the special stages 4/7 St-Clement-Sur Durance/Freissinieres,10/12 La Breole/Selonnet & Shakedown with the highlights of the best passages, only Action, Flatout, Max Attack & Pure Sound!
Congratulations to Neuville who made an impressive comeback from mid-race onwards, beating both Evans and Ogier and winning the 88th Monte-Carlo Rally. Ogier who scored the same time in the final Power Stage as Neuville, 9:39, only 0.016s behind, finished second. His absolute detachment from the Belgian pilot was 12.6 seconds after more than 3h and 10 minutes of the race. Loeb instead found some problems, including the unexpected event that saw him hovering over a precipice and only that episode, cost him almost a minute. He finishes the rally in the sixth position at +5:04.7 from the winner Neuville.

Finalmente il WRC 2020 è iniziato con il Rallye di Montecarlo, ci troviamo vicino a Gap, nella Alpi Francesi e questo è il video comparativo (virtuale da spettatore) fra Sébastien Ogier vs Sébastien Loeb. Complessivamente, questi due piloti hanno vinto 15 campionati del monto Rally! Pazzesco! I filmati si riferiscono alle prove speciali 4/7 St-Clement-Sur-Durance/Freissinieres,10/12 La Breole/Selonnet e lo Shakedown con gli highlights dei passaggi migliori, solo azione, Flatout, Max Attack & Pure Sound! Congratulazioni a Neuville che da metà rally in avanti ha compiuto una splendida rimonta, battendo sia Evans, sia Ogier, aggiudicandosi l'88° Rallye di Monte-Carlo. Ogier che nella Power Stage finale ha segnato il medesimo tempo di Neuville, 9:39, distaccato di soli 0.016s, è giunto secondo. Il suo distacco assoluto dal pilota belga è stato di 12.6 secondi dopo oltre 3h e 10 minuti di gara. Loeb invece ha riscontrato qualche problema, fra cui l'imprevisto che l'ha visto in bilico ul precipizio di un burrone e solo quell'episodio gli è costato quasi un minuto. Finisce il rally in sesta posizione a +5:04.7 dal vincitore Neuville.
Spero possiate apprezzare lo sforzo nel realizzare questo video che ha richiesto molto tempo, così come lo Split-Screen. Ringrazio James, un ragazzo che guarda i miei video, per avermi suggerito di applicare questa tecnica.

In the first part of the video i was asking me 'How can we compare ?'. but the second part answered my question. And, whet would be great, if it is technicaly possible, would be overlayed images. This would allow to see the very fine differences.
Thanks for your comment. The first part of the video, as in all the previous comparative ones, there are few opportunities for comparison. Those videos refer to the first day of the shakedown and on that occasion, my friends and I who filmed, we often moved from one point to another and therefore I did not have all the clips more or less in the same position for virtual comparison. The other days of the rally, however, were relatively fixed in one point and these comparisons are better (as you rightly noticed). As for your idea, it's a fascinating thing that I hadn't thought of. It might be a good idea and thank you for that. The problem, however, is that if I superimpose two cars, maybe it could work. If I overlap four of them (as I happened to do in some videos), this could be too much because visually you can no longer understand what the cars are. I also think it would be perfect for doing with two different vehicles and therefore not of the same brand. For example, Hyundai vs Toyota, visually, you understand better than Toyota vs Toyota. Thank you very much for this suggestion. I will try privately to edit videos with this technique to know if it's good or is too confusing 😉

@@alberto_davoli Questa cosa del sottosterzo deve essere stata corretta di molto perchè qualcuno, nei commenti, mi ha fatto notare che nel 2019 lo mostrava maggiormente. Francamente non ho notato grosse differenze, mi fido comunque dei più esperti. Ci starebbe una comparazione versione 2019 vs versione 2020... 😂

So this video is basically showing that Loeb drives somwhow slower that the others and at the same time is faster than the others?
It's nothing scientific; I compared two pilots who together add up to 15 world titles and are the two most successful in the world of rallying in recent decades. Despite having different cars, I had the pleasure of often filming them in the same points, and therefore it can be a visual and virtual comparison of how they approach the curves, both with different shades and speeds.
