- Battle Brothers is an amazing turn-based tactical RPG, where you build up a band of mercenaries and roam the land, for fortune and glory. It is also brutally difficult. In this complete beginners guide to Battle Brothers, I will explain to you the basics from the ground up by starting a brand new campaign so you can watch and even play along. I will explain the controls, the UI, the mechanics, how to battle, quest, manage your inventory and resources, and explore the map. I detail my thought process, sharing tips and tricks along the way but I spoil nothing about the game or the story. I don't force a particular path or tell you to min/max, but rather help by providing the fundamentals so you can enjoy Battle Brothers at your own pace. If you are thinking of buying the game and want to see early gameplay, or have purchased it but would like some pointers on the basics, this is the guide for you! I will be playing with no DLCs or mods--vanilla Battle Brothers!
This guide then goes beyond the basics and into further territory that I am less familiar with as viewers and myself wanted to see more content :) When we get beyond the basics, I am still explaining my thought process and showing new content, but I am often learning along with you (and from your comments!) so the later episodes take on a different tone.

Because of the 1st two beginner vids I have reinstalled the game and actually survived 5 battles so far lol. My best by a wide margin, which says how bad I was. I do enjoy this game! Thanks for getting me back in!

This game is a piece of art, I just wish we had a sequel bigger and better with more rpg elements, create your own band of the hawk.
I would love a sequel as well!
There will be a sequel, its called MENACE and will release sometime this year. It can be wishlisted on steam already.
Its based in the future tho.

I bought this game at launch, played it, hated it, uninstalled it, but thanks to your video's I have been egged me on to give it another chance.

I get to a point where I get rolled in most fights due to missing constantly and getting killed easily. Is it just weapon and armor upgrades im missing? Wish there was a good way to grind levels
I tell you what--I grind levels by just doing low level contracts. You can even just try to do escort or travel missions to make money and avoid fighting until you get geared. I do 1 skull contracts only for a while to build up!
